Who: House, Reina and Sofia, Jack Dent
What: Visiting Jack!
When: Today-ish. As we've demonstrated, time is not a fixed construct.
Warnings: Adorableness? Nothing high, considering there's childrens in the room.

Around 9:00 am- noon, eastern, in their defense- the trio appeared in Jack's room. The girls, usually full of energy, were sticking conspicuously close to their father. But once they reached the door and caught sight of Jack in the bed, they climbed out of the wheelchair Greg had opted for and rushed ahead, climbing on the chair near the bed, dragging a tote bag between them.

"HOWDY UNCLE JACK!" He wasn't facing them, so they weren't sure if he was awake. Regardless, he probably would be now.

Jack was asleep, yes, but the sound of two young beauties woke him up and he startled before he was smiling broadly, blinking against the light of the room and the sound of the girls.

"And good morning to you, too," Jack's voice was a bit thick with sleep and he raised a hand to make sure he didn't have drool or anything to make him even less dignified then the paper gown already made him, "Oh, how lovely to wake up to such darling little faces. Hullo, Greg," He looked over at the man in the wheelchair fondly, giving himself a moment to just wake up before his eyes were on the girls and the bag, "And look at that! What's this, my darling little ladies?"

"We's brought you... stuffs!" Greg just rolled up next to the girls and let them gush, knowing it would be useless to fight them for his attention, right now.

First the girls yanked out a teddy bear, thrusting it at him. "We's wanted you to have Floppy! Him's kept Papi comp'ny in the hopsital when we couldn't. Him's can keep you's company when we's can't, too!" Greg smiled a little at that, busying himself pulling the Capt'N Crunch out of the seat of his chair, that the girls had been eating on their way into the hospital.

Next came a plate covered with what could best be described as lumps of multi-colored glue, that was set on the tray-table in front of him. "An' we's made you these!" Greg looked up and winced, thinking he'd managed to get them to leave those at home. "Uh, cereal treats. They made them themselves!" And when he was sure the girls were looking away, he mouthed 'and taste better than they look', with an apologetic smile.

"Try one!" Fi giggled, really just wanting another one herself. But it'd be rude to eat one without him having one first.

"Oh Lord, look at that!" Jack giggled and took the bear in his good hand, giving it a little snuggle before sitting it in his lap, "I'll have him by my side at all times, dears. You have my word," He patted the bear before he eyed the plate with slight interest. He had made worse looking culinary creations, so he couldn't really talk.

"Look at...those!" Jack paused when Greg spoke, thankful the man knew they were about to feed him and that he also seemed to think Jack wouldn't be ill if he ate them, "Cereal treats! Grand." He took one up in his hand, looking at the girls and grinning, "Why don't you two have one as well? And Greg?" He offered before he took a bite, "Oh good," He murmured, putting his hand in front of his mouth a bit to prevent, again, looking like more of an invalid then he was and dribbling and the like, "Oh, these are delicious, girls!"

The girls gave Greg a small glance before reaching in and taking their own. Greg shook his head a little, "I might explode if I have another," Which he quickly followed up with, "I've already had three," Just to reaffirm that they weren't dangerous.

Mid-cookie, the Reina bounced a little in her seat, pointing in the bag and waving her hand in lieu of signing. Sofia nodded, and shoved the rest of her cookie in her mouth, clearing her throat as if to talk. "Oh! There's more!" She dug in the bag, pulling out a DS. "This is for you, too! It's Rei-Rei's, but her's good hand is hurted, so she can't play. But.." She just then noticed that his hand was hurt, too, and deflated a little. "Oh."

Jack blinked at the exploding comment but then laughed softly, "Of course, dear. Have to keep that figure," He winked and then looked over at the girl's once more, the waving about catching his eye.

"Oh, aren't you sweet, my dear little ladies? My hand's hurt as well, though! But tell you what," Jack paused to think before grinning and leaning over as if sharing a secret, "We could share it. I use my good hand, darling Rei-Rei uses hers?" He waggled his brows, hoping he could cheer up the girls.

Sofia signed this over to her sister, and the grinned and nodded. Reina seemed to take this as an invitation to climb over the arm of the chair and onto the bed, getting a wary Greg to stand from his chair and reach for her.

"Hey, now..." His tone was slightly scolding, and he reached out to put a hand on Reina's shoulder to get her attention, raising a brow. Using his other hand, he signed 'Ask,', glancing over at Jack.

Jack snickered at the girl's excitement and glanced up just as she did at the scolding, as if he had been the one caught being slightly rude. He tittered and bit his lip, shifting over a bit and patting the bed, "No worries, darling," Yes, he was the Uncle that would spoil the heck out of the girls, "I'm perfectly fine with a little company up here. Especially company as cute as this little munchkin," He poked Reina's nose lightly and grinned, looking up at Greg with a playful pout, "Please, Papi?"

Reina glanced from her Papi to Jack, pouting slightly. Of course, he just wanted to makek sure it was alright with Jack, so he nodded, carefully lifting her and placing her on the bed next to Jack. She snuggled close, giving him a one-armed hug.

Sofia, of course, wanted her turn, and went to climb in as well, causing Greg to roll his eyes and help her in as well. "You're never going to get them to leave, now." He signed as much once he put Fi down, getting both the girls in on the giggling. At least that freed up the chair next to the bed for him to drop down in, when his heavy lifting was done.

"There."

Jack settled between the two girls, grinning like a fool and adjusting his arm a bit, "Alright, how do we work this thing?" He questioned, looking at the DS with interest. It wasn't like he played video games.

He shot Greg a warm little smile, happy to have the man there as well as the girls. Jack felt truly blessed to have made such good friends so quickly, really. Patting Sofia's head as he turned back to the twins, Jack laughed, "Maybe you two can play and show me?"

"I's wanna show you, Jacky!" Sofia pulled the DS over to her, turning it on and pulling the little pen-thing from it, watching as the colorful monkeys in plastic balls started rolling around on the screen.

"What'd you bring to play with Uncle Jacky?" Greg asked, curiously looking over Fi's shoulder.

"Monkeyball!" Sofia stated happily, going through the setup menu like it was second nature, before stopping and starting to explain the mechanics of the game to Jack. Greg smirked and leaned back in the chair, putting on an obviously sarcastic voice.

"Ooh, Monkeyball. Uncle Jack better get ready to be beaten like he stole something." Greg nodded, mockingly seriously, and Fi giggled. "We's go easy on him, while him's learning. We's promise."

	Jack watched the exchange, beaming over being called 'Uncle Jacky' so much. He liked that. Could get used to it. When he heard the title he made a face before shaking his head, "Darlings, I'm afraid I am going to be hopeless at this, even with your expert help. I'm not very good with hand eye at the moment," He did enjoy the colourful graphics. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Considering neither Greg nor Ray had any family so to speak, here, they had been very liberal with calling their various friends 'uncle' or 'aunt', wanting the girls to feel like they had a large family. Wanting them to feel loved. Greg was more conservative with it than Ray, but he'd been the one to first change Jack from 'Mr.' to 'uncle', without thinking about it. He didn't know what Jack had, that kept him interested, but it was there, and he wanted the man to be a part of his daughter's life. Maybe he just wasn't used to the idea of friendship. One way or the other.

The girls were more than happy to show Jack how things were done, poking and prodding at the small screen on his lap between them, oblivious to the man himself.

"They'll go like that all day, if you let them."

"I haven't the heart to stop them, dear, they look so happy," Jack muttered, watching as they went along, amazed that they were so good at it. He let a hand stroke Sofia's hair now and then as he tried to get the idea of the game down but even that failed him. On a good day, Jack was not good with video games. And this was after he had head trauma and was on pain meds.

	"They're happy kids," Greg watched them go on, knowing Sofia was probably listening, selectively, to what was said. "See how good of a physician I am," Greg mumbled after a minute, walking over to the end of the bed and picking up Jack's chart, leaning on the rail while he read the readings, scribbling things down now and again. "I'm fine," Jack said, a weary tone in his voice that was rarely there, but always seemed to lurk out in hospitals, "A bit of a headache, but I had a...A store fall on me. And bored, yes, but I have plenty of visitors to keep me happy," Well, Greg, the girls, Jules and his Captain, if the man came to visit. He assumed he would.

"Still have a bit of problems with dizziness," He said after a moment, clearing his throat but not looking at Greg. His eyes stayed on the game. He also had problems going to sleep for fear of not waking up, staying asleep due to his own nightmares from past hospital stays and so on, but that wasn't something he thought the man needed to write down.

	Greg shrugged, scribbling something down. "You're still concussed. Been sleeping okay?" With the drugs he was on, Greg was amazed he was so coherent. Unless he hadn't been taking his pills, or there was something there he didn't know. He hated to play bad guy, having been in Jack's position himself, but he was supposed to ask. Jack's lips flickered upwards with a smile, "You're good at this, aren't you, dear?" He said softly, sighing and shrugging a shoulder, careful of the girls beside him, "Same as usual," He glanced up at the man, "Anything else you need to know, darling?" Jack felt bad, not talking to Greg, telling him that he was sleeping when he could but that wasn't much, telling him that he had woken up several times confused and frightened about where he was, having forgotten in his sleep, driving him to tears, telling him that he hadn't been able to remember what he was going to the store for in the first place for the life of him. Jack saved those things for himself, really. He didn't need to worry Greg. He might be his doctor, but Jack saw him more as a friend. And he hated to worry friends.

It was sad, how good Greg had gotten in the past few months at telling when he wasn't hearing the whole story. He blamed the half-truths the girls fed him on a near regular basis, for the head-tilt/Look combination that felt so much like Wilson when he did it, it only lasted a second, before he settled on rolling his eyes.

"Anything medically relevant about your sleep pattern that you just tried to avoid,"

	Snorting, Jack shook his head, watching the screen of the video game. He didn't want to talk about it with Greg when there wasn't children in the room, let alone when he was afraid of making them worry as well, "I'm fine, dear. Same ol', Same ol'," Jack had been having nightmares since he was nineteen and was attacked. No use starting to complain now, he figured. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Greg just huffed a sigh, putting the pen and the chart back in the holder, moving back to drop over in the chair.

"If you say so, Jacky," Any other patient, and Greg would have pushed- gave him the third degree to try and get his information. But with his girls in the room, and knowing the little he did about Jack, he let it drop, figuring either he had it under control, or he had someone to talk to about whatever it was. God forbid he told his PCP.

	Jack looked over at Greg for a moment, smiling slightly. He hadn't told Jules about his attacks until after the man saw him naked, which was a far longer time between meeting and doing so then it had been with Greg. Nodding once, Greg seemed about to say something, but was interrupted by a small tussle over Jack's lap, apparently about who's turn it was with the DS. He watched them go at it for a second, waiting to see if they'd calm down before reaching over and putting his hand in the middle to get their attention.

"Hey, if you're not going to share, don't play," He spoke and signed, getting a dual pair of pouts.

"How did I know this was going to happen?" Rolling his eyes, he reached in his pocket to pull out another DS, offering it out. Reina snatched it up, and seemed content, both going back to playing on their separate sides.

"Just imagine when they want cars. That's not going to be that easy," He scoffed a laugh, leaning back in his seat a bit. With a glance at the door, he reached in his other breast pocket, pulling out a flask and taking a sip, before offering it out to Jack with a little grin.

Jack was in slight distress over the fight in his lap, not entirely sure to do as he was one to get in such tiffs himself. Hey, he didn't want to share sometimes. He was impressed by Greg's handling of it and he laughed at the comment about cars.

"I'm sure you'll figure it out, dear, clever as you are. I have problem seeing you not being in control of any situation, really," Jack meant that, though he was laughing over the offered flask. Taking a moment to think about it, he reached over to take it, having a sip and shuddering a little before handing it back, coughing a bit, "Lovely."
