WHO: Cassidy Turner and Judah Low
WHAT: Chainday boys
WHERE: Judah's shop/home
WHEN: Tonight
WARNINGS: Oh yes, this is not a child friendly thread.

-----

Judah's place is on the opposite corner from Sable's bookstore. It's a skeezy, dirty, tattered part of town, and Judah's ramshackle repairshop fits the scenery with splendid eccentricity. The front window is filled with gadgets. The store sign is simple and lacking in advertising. The door jingles when it opens, and inside is a maze of piles of STUFF. All things electrical and mechanical may make a home here, rusty, dusty, missing doors and drawers and hinges, their innerds on display for all the world, their wires frayed, their plug tines rusted. It's something of an adventure to reach the counter on the other side of the room, but behind it is Judah at the workbench, tinkering idly with some repair job he can fix and break and fix and break again in the space of a minute.

Winding through the labyrinthine stacks and piles of electrical gizmos with a particularly amused and rather enchanted expression came a young Turner. He touched nothing, for fear it would all topple over onto himself or itself and there'd be no way to get out. He finally reached Judah after about a minute of weaving through the springs and gears and wires, only hovering in a minor way. A cigarette was lit and between his lips, and he wore his gloves (The excuse was that it was a chilly, damp autumn night) as well as a leather jacket and his usual attire of dusty jeans and a tee shirt.

"It's really a marvel that you spend your time tinkering, when you could build a self-serving temple for your looks alone. Nevermind the brilliant mind that Soren speaks of often." He shrugged lackadaisically, before taking a seat nearby.

Judah raises a brow to him in amused contemplation, studying the other man really closely for the first time. He knew Cass, of course -- he'd seen his business partner's cousin in the shop many times before, and of course heard about him from both Soren and Sable, but he had never had an opportunity to really LOOK, really LISTEN, to really take in this other man, partner of his partners.

"You're a flatterer. Easy praise. Temples bore me, Mr Turner, but rest assured my mind is being put to good use. I tinker far less than I really work." He leans back and tilts his head at Cass, something about his tall, lanky figure and wild hair making him seen storklike. "Would you care for a drink or food?"

"Even if it is easy praise, it's simple truth as well. And isn't work what makes the mind stronger? You exercise your body and it's called a workout, and when you give yourself something more than what you know, your mind works out as well. You grow and expand those parts of your knowledge to something more. Actually, that's part of the reason I'm here. I need to work out something in my mind. Gain knowledge." He nodded then, "Yes please. Whatever you've got to offer."

Sometimes it was easy to see much of his descending paternal line of the family come out in him. The easy, fluid motions and the all-too-comfortable smile and posture. He tilted his head just slightly, looking at the taller man with a small, knowing smile. "Not that you're the type to lament previous trysts, but you shouldn't feel bad about it, anyway. Soren and I never reached that understanding, and I had been staying relatively faithful. As for what's to come, I have no qualms. No heavy burden. Neither should you, neither should he. What this is, simply is."

Judah simply nods at Cass's words. "Follow me. My lodgings aren't fancy, but they're a lot more comfortable than sitting around in the shop..."

He leads Cass back through a maze of workbenches, scattered half-finished projects and collected nicknacks, down a cluttered hallway to an area that was seemingly both a bedroom and sitting room, and the only place in the house that was in a state of relative order. He waves Cass towards any of the furniture around -- a couch, an armchair, the bed. "Please, make yourself comfortable. I'll be right back." He disappears through another doorway and returns shortly with tea and cold chicken and yogurt sauce to dip it in.

"Now. What do you think you could learn from me?"

Favoring the couch, Cass took a seat and watched the taller man walk away. He was gracious to be in the presence of a good host, though he rather wished he'd found something more interesting to say. He took the tea with a nod and a murmur of thanks, before sipping it. "I don't really expect to learn as much from you yourself as I do the experience. Like I said, I've been with no other man since Soren and I started with each other, I'm only clearing up what is likely to be true no matter who the other man is." He took another sip of tea.

"Though really, you're the most appropriate candidate there is for such an endeavor. After all, you are as I said, quite beautiful." He smiled slightly, "Intelligent, as well. If Soren and I hadn't... figured out what we have, I could have easily had eyes for you."

Judah takes a piece of chicken and nibbles it delicately, sitting beside Cass on the sofa.

"If it is nothing but an experience you want, I welcome you to have it with me. What truth do you seek? Beauty and intelligence aside..." He smiles, as if in recognition and thanks for the praise, but not flattered by it, nor too humble to accept it.

"If I'm truly ruined to anyone but him." Cassidy replied after a moment. "I love him, you know. It's a liberating feeling to love someone so close to me, but I don't have a truly objective viewpoint anymore. I don't know what I'm losing, but I know what I've gained."

"Then you are alive," Judah grins.

He pulls off a little piece of chicken, dips it in the yogurt stuff, and offers it towards Cass's lips.

He smiled at that, a soft, sheepish thing, before taking the offered bit of chicken into his mouth, his tongue darting out to lick the bit of yogurt off Judah's fingertip. "That's one way to see it. But to be alive and so full of questions that should be easy to answer... Is that truly living?"

Judah raises his brows to Cass.

"What is, if not that?"

He strokes a finger down Cass's nose and takes another piece of chicken for himself.

He grinned knowingly at that, "Answering those questions so that other, more difficult ones may be asked by yourself, and continuing on with that." He slipped a bit closer, tracing delicate lines up Judah's arm.

Judah lounges comfortably beside Cassidy, watches his fingers, studies his body, returns the gesture of touch with one of his own: drawing his hand down Cass's cheek, over his shoulder, and squeezing his hand.

"You sound to me like a person who thinks more than he acts. Don't mistake that for a bad thing -- it isn't. I only think you come from a very different world than I."

"If I act before thinking, I scare people." Cassidy purred, tilting his head slightly closer to Judah. "Everybody is constantly in action, whether it be subtle or grand." He slid closer still, until he moved his hand gracefully over the dish with the chicken and yogurt, setting them aside so he had more room to straddle Judah's lap, smirking and continuing his light caresses down the other man's chest.

Judah leans back and begins to stroke Cass's hair back, over and over, like petting a cat.

"You're lovely," he purrs quietly. "I am delighted you came to me. Delighted..."

In truth, Cass, to him, is a wonderfully attractive partner. The attraction hasn't yet become obvious in the form of physical need -- not QUITE yet -- but Judah finds him beautiful and desireable, and takes what liberties he can running his fingers over Cass's face and shoulders and hands as they sit together.

Letting out a murmur of enjoyment and slight distraction, Cassidy shrugged out of his jacket, leaving himself with a gauze-thin net top which had no sleeves, showing off his tattoos, save for the ones on his wrists and finger - those were hidden by the gloves he'd yet to remember to take off. He smiled down at Judah with charcoal rimmed hazel eyes, his fingers slipping up beyond the other man's neck, petting through the wild black hair. "It seems that my looks are in good company, then, hm?"

He bowed his head down, letting his hair fall back as much as it could with Judah's hands still in it, before letting his lips barely brush against the other man's.

Judah glances at the tattoos, noting their existance but not much more. He smiles at Cass's flirting and boldly returns the kiss with a great deal more forwardness and intention. This is not a flirting, shy kiss. This is a kiss that says, I know what we both want. Let's get to it, shall we?
