Lois nearly jumped at the knock, her coffee splashing up the sides of the mug. It was nearly gone since Clark had taken so long to get here. She reminded herself that Clark still felt obligated to keep up the pretense with her.
She was at the door in no time, and took a deep breath before opening it. Lois put on a smile. She was glad to see him, but also far too nervous for that not to show. "Clark, hi," she smiled widely. "You want to come in?"
