"And what about you?" she smiled tiredly. "Things must've been hard for you coming back and finding everything was changed. And with the way I treated Clark sometimes..." Lois laughed without amusement at herself. "I'm ashamed of how I treated Clark so badly and was so dismissive while I fawned over Superman. I hurt you too, didn't I?" It was a statement as much as a question. Her eyes looked at him with apology.
The memories had settled into place and were starting to pop up, unbidden, into her conscious thoughts. It was distracting. She'd definitely need time to process everything later. For now, she wanted to finish catching up with Clark. She'd gotten used to thinking of Superman and Clark as the same person over the past year. Watching those movies and TV shows had given her a greater understanding of the troubles Clark went through with his powers, secret identity, and why he'd gone to lengths to hide it from her. After understanding, it was hard to be angry with him. After seeing herself from an outside perspective, she'd never fully realized til now how awful she'd been to him.
She cracked half a smile at him. "I had my own powers for awhile. Nothing at all like yours, but touching objects or people gave me... these visions into the object's past or future. They call it psychometry. They came awhile after the meteor shower and faded with time." Lois was aware she might sound mildly insane.
