Shawn sat at the far end of the bar nursing a drink while he waited for the Dragmeister to show up. A dive bar in LA suited his mood as of late pretty damn nicely. And it had to be LA cause even the dive bars in Santa Barbara were a tourists idea of heaven and anywhere else was a bit too far away to get home to teenage anchors in time. He liked Tess a lot... but boy was she some serious bad timing. ~~And maybe a reminder of something that wasn't gonna happen now...~~

Shawn nodded in understanding. "Nice thing about Tess, I don't need to find a babysitter. She pretty much takes care of herself. Bet you she even ordered pizza. Especially since I'm not there. She's got some sadistic cooking experiment thing going on lately and if I'm home, she has to go all Stepford and cook dinner. I so do not get it."

Spying a pup across the street, Shawn tugged at House's arm and jerked a head towards it. "S'alright?"
