He slipped out and moved, slowly but surely, toward the house, fishing through his pockets until he found the key. Into the lock it went, and then the door opened soundlessly, lights coming on inside.
"Good evening, Douglass, welcome home. Good evening Carrie, welcome to the House."
Doug colored as he stepped in.
"Evening, Jeeves. IS all in working order?"
"All is functioning and online, Douglass."
Doug nodded and turned to her, motioning her in.
"Ah, welcome to the house. I don't remember all I did, but I think it is pretty, ah... interesting."
Inside, it was all quiet coloring. Simple creams and reds, alongside browns and brief splashes of other colors painted a warm setting. The furniture was not lavish by a long shot, merely functional in most places.
"Um... would you like something to drink?"
He felt awkward, as he stood there. Guesting was something he knew nothing about.
