Who: Jason Todd and Cassandra Cain
What: Cass did something very dumb.
When: Sometime before Bruce disappeared.
Warnings: Minimal.

Jason was sitting up in bed when Cassandra woke up. She'd been waiting for some time, and had even spent a few hours sitting by her bed until a nurse had informed her in no uncertain terms that if she didn't get in bed and stay there, she was getting strapped in. Just because a person was covered in burns.

"Are you awake? You can hear me through all those bandages?" Jason asked, putting down her magazine. When Cassandra reacted, Jason smiled very briefly. "Good." Then she took a deep breath. "Then you'll be able to tell me what the hell is wrong with you! When all your skill in martial artistry relies on being able to read your opponent's thoughts, you do not go out and find someone you can't read! Especially when you're emotional! I know you like to pretend you don't have emotions, but we both know you're in love with me, and the best way to show that is to not get yourself killed! Do you have any idea how lucky you are? I..." Jason paused, breathing hard. Her throat still hurt from inhaling all that smoke, and yelling wasn't helping matters.
