Michael really wasn't prepared for any of this. Not in his wildest dreams did he think she would actually be willing to even hear him out. This was almost too much, but if there was one thing Michael knew, it was not to look a gift horse in the mouth. It was even enough to get his mind off of Azathoth, at least for now.
He made the decision to stop questioning this and let it happen. He hadn't eradicated his nervousness, but at least he could come to a decision one way or the other and act accordingly. With that in mind, he carefully linked his arm with hers and nodded in the direction of the diner. "When we get there, order whatever you want. My treat." He couldn't keep the little smile off his face now. This was the first time in months things in his life were actually looking up.
