"Absolutely," Henry said. He wanted this, and if she wanted it too, then in his mind there was nothing to really discuss. He imagined they would have to talk about moving things and the like, but right now that didn't matter. What mattered now was that they could have a future untouched by the Esoteric Order. They would never take her again.
He was glad she wasn't bringing up what he'd had to do in order to do this. It was better left unsaid. He didn't set out to destroy the Order globally. He knew he'd never be able to destroy the older, more powerful versions of it that existed out there. But killing every member in the North American branch, literally killing all of the Order members in the entire country, let these other versions know not to fuck with him. That's what he was going for, and it was what he hoped would happen.
He slid his arm around her, a little smile creeping up his face. He could quit the booze and the smokes for her, that was no problem. Well, okay, maybe the smokes would be a little problem, but he would kick it, eventually. If it was for her, he could do it.
