Who: Mary & Star
Where: Care facility for special-needs adults and then parts beyond
When: now-ish
What: Rescue mission!
Warnings: Not likely, Mary doesn't swear and Star doesn't talk.
Star, or more accurately, the person she'd replaced, was one of the facility's few self-admitted patients, even so the staff was somewhat surprised to find her packed up and ready to go, waiting in the lobby, leafing through a copy of Popular Mechanics, which she apparently had a subscription to.
Everything she'd deemed important all fit into a single duffel, which was currently on the floor between her feet. She was mostly keeping tabs on what was going on around her, people seemed to forget that just because she didn't talk, didn't mean she couldn't hear. |
