Sol decided to let them have some alone time together. And story time was the perfect time for that. While Kyle was reading Jules a story she cleaned up Julia's coloring books, crayons and toys that she had left on the kitchen table. Once that was put away she couldn't help but go and peek in on them.
What she saw made her smile contentedly. It was so weird to have this after all she had lost in a few short weeks. She really wasn't completely convinced that it was real all the way quite yet. Julia had fallen asleep and she thought that Kyle was just now realizing that fact. She whispered, "Out like a light, huh?"
Kyle was able to get up and off the bed without their girl waking up. He was a natural she thought. Walking over to Julia, Sol brushed her lips against her temple. "Good night sweetie." She followed Kyle out but made sure to turn on the night light before turning off the main light.
Once they were out of the room she wrapped her arms around Kyle's waist and looked up at him. "How are you doing?" She'd had a few days to take it all in and she still wasn't completely settled with the idea. She wasn't sure what he was feeling right now.
