Another night, another day of work, and Jonathan was glad of it. Working made it easier not to think about the weirdness all around him, about the deaths of the day, and about life. Working was good. And the Portkey, despite it's oddness, was a good place to work, most days.
With two large bouncers who seemed eternally in a good mood and always ready to stop trouble, and with bartenders who seemed to actually like their jobs, Jonathan was settling into this whole Evening Manager thing. Rather than stay in his office, he walked the place, sometimes sitting, sometimes talking, sometimes even helping serve drinks.
Even on a day like today, it made him feel lucky.
He was serving a lot of free drinks today, and he was even happier about that.
