They flickered and the reality around the simply shifted sideways, and then the room fuzzed out and snapped back to clarity, just as fast, and they stood in a room richly appointed, with couch, chair, and bed, with a large bookcase, and a writing desk, with paper and pen and pencil set already, and with a closet filled with both ancient and modern dress.
"Welcome to Avalon, Dear Sister, and to your room here, whenever you wish it."
A large window, almost as large as Merlin himself, stood on one wall, showing outward the realm, hills and trees, faerie lights, and sky of purple, and a large hill nearby, and valleys all around. In the distance, a small town seemed to be springing up.
On the opposite wall, a door stood, open to a hallway.
