Who: Faith and Dean
What: Faith is putting on the Mean Mommy pants.
Where: Dean's apartment
When: Tomorrow morning
Warnings: A lot of name calling and slap fighting

Faith had had it. She had reached the breaking point of wanting to throttle Dean and Solvei to death. Their drama had become everyone's drama and Faith had had enough. Between Sol's suicide missions with a vampire and Dean drinking himself into a coma every night she knew it was time for some tough love. She'd tried to leave it to Emily for as long as she could but obviously a good cuddle wasn't what these two doofuses needed to snap out of it.

She decided to take matters into her own hands. She'd already smacked Sol a good once or twice the night before for being stupid enough to get drunk and fight vampires. She hadn't let her friend leave the house either and when Faith left in the morning Sol was still sound asleep in the guest room.

Now she had bigger fish to fry. This had been a long time coming. She really didn't have anything against Dean, it was just that she tried to keep things nice and even with him by sending Em off to deal with him while she dealt with Solvei. But Dean, the jackass that he was, had taken it the wrong way and was always trying to start shit with her. Well, now she was gonna finish it.

Dumping a large bucket of ice water on his head while he was still asleep in bed, Faith smirked at him as he spit and sputtered and got up faster than she'd ever seen anyone get up before.

"Rise and shine, Cowboy." She said to him, knowing full well just how hungover he was. "Breakfast?"

Faith folded her arms over her chest as she watched Dean mouth off about being fine. Right. And she was changing her name to Madonna. "Shut up." She said to him when he just kept running his mouth. She thought it was funny that he was calling Sol a bitch and talking about how she talked too much.

She really wanted to hit him but she was holding back for the time being. She wasn't exactly sure why yet. "You're not the bad guy." She told him seriously, calmly as she looked into his eyes. "Cause see, if you were the bad guy? I might actually still have a little bit of respect for you."

She tilted her head to the side but didn't smirk, just kept giving him the same calm look. "This is just you feeling sorry for yourself and I gotta tell you? It's fucking pathetic. I mean this is it? This is the big, bad Dean Winchester?" I snickered a little bit.

"You couldn't go two rounds with a puppy right now." She pointed out to him. It was a fair point. Dean was visibly in rough shape this morning.

He grinned a little when she said that he wasn't the bad guy, but the grin was wiped from his face when she pretty much said that she didn't have any respect for him. Grumbling, he picked apart at the muffin before finishing it off altogether. Faith didn't know what the hell she was talking about for one, she didn't know what was going on and all she heard was Solvei's side so of course Dean would be the big villain. Even Solvei didn't understand because everytime Dean would open his mouth to say whatever, she'd turn it around somehow. He understood that she was hurt, but he was too and he didn't blame her for anything. She was just looking for someone to blame her. It was all complicated and he was really getting tired of it.

"Whatever, Faith," he muttered with a roll of his eyes as he sat there. He still was the big bad Dean Winchester who was indeed, a badass but yeah, when people literally drive him to the point of almost freaking insane .. then yeah, there's a problem.

"Well, when I get back from seein' Sam, I'm sure I'll be back to normal." He thought about the fact that he was actually going to see his brother in London. He was nervous, but hey, his brother asked for his help, so he was gonna be there, even if he couldn't drive there. Obviously. He figured a few days away would do some good. Time to get away from everyone.

"You're goin' to see Sam?" Faith asked him curiously waiting for him to nod at her. She couldn't help but feel like that was probably a good idea. Dean getting out of town for a few days and going to see his brother (even if it was the sissy version) was probably the best thing for him and Solvei at this point. Faith was running out of solutions and her last resort was knocking their heads together and locking them in her basement.

"I think that's a good idea." She said to him as she took another sip of her coffee. Finishing off her muffin, she folded the paper up into a ball and tossed it on the table. Getting up she stretched a little bit and noticed that Dean seemed to have relaxed despite the way she'd woken him up. Well, good. She was glad because she was sure he was going to have a fit over what she would do next. Better to start out clean.

Walking over to the cabinets she found the liquor one easily enough. It was stocked full of shit. She whistled low under her breath before she started pulling bottles out. Dean seemed to have a different idea, because he gave her a curious look like she might be about to fix them both a drink.

Not by a long shot.

Faith had two bottles of whiskey poured down the drain before Dean caught on and was trying to wrestle the rest of his precious stash away from her. She shoved him away and watched as his back hit the fridge.

"Yeah, I think so too," Dean shrugged and sat there before grabbing another muffin. "These are good, where'd you get them?" He asked as he took a bite from the new muffin. He was glad to be leaving for a few days, if it was even that long, he didn't care. Just to even get away for a day would be nice for him and well, hanging with his brother. There were a few things Dean wanted to ask him, anyway.

Faith got up from the table and went to the kitchen, opening up cabinets like she was searching for something. He raised his eyebrow, watching from where he was sitting when she grabbed two bottles of whiskey. It's never too early for a drink. He finished off the muffin and tossed the paper onto the table when he heard something pouring, and by the time he was up and out of his chair, the bottles were empty.

"HEY!" He yelled and slapped at her hands as they found their way inside the cabinet, but she shoved him hard and he went back, hitting the fridge hard.

"What are you doing that for?" He asked her this time as he got back up. Leaning over, he kept his eyes on her. "What? Am I some kind of alcoholic or somethin? And I thought Solvei was dramatic." He rolled his eyes and walked over, slamming the cabinet shut.

Dean tried to keep the cabinet shut but Faith just shoved him out of the way and opened it back up. Grabbing more bottles she started pouring those down the drain too. "You're not an alcoholic, you're just a pussy." She smiled at him meanly, breaking out her favorite pet name for him. One that was bound to get under his skin.

The truth was, Faith wasn't just trying to being a bitch to Dean. She was worried about him. She wasn't Emily though, and she didn't come over here to pet him until he felt better. She wasn't Solvei and didn't come over here to cry and share the blame. She came over here to make sure Dean didn't drink himself to death. If she had to accomplish this by smacking the shit out of him? She would be happy to oblige. It was time for tough love and Faith had officially run out of patience.

Going to the fridge she yanked it open and pulled out all of the beer but when she turned back around Dean was standing in front of the sink with his arms folded over his chest. "Hate to break it to you, Dean but you really can't intimidate me." She said, raising an eyebrow in his direction.

"Lemme tell you from personal experience? Burying yourself in a bottle is just a faster track to hell and I don't feel like going back in there to get your ass out, so move."

"Get off you're fuckin' high horse, what the fuck do you know about anything that's goin' on," he started in on her and just shook his head. Like Faith had to worry about the things he was going through, which lately? Were a lot. Losing his brother, gaining another brother who already had a brother, finding Solvei only to lose her all over again, his dad didn't want anything to do with him, Bobby gets turned into a chick, he has the week from hell and he knew he was leaving alot out, but shit. That's alot of bullshit to go through in a short amount of time. He wanted to just be over it, just move on but it was hard when there was a little voice that always came around and reminded him.

"Yeah, Faith, you tell me how it is. What should I do? You know, since you're over here actually showin' me you have a soul, you've been nothin' but a bitch to me since we fuckin' got here. What the fuck crawled up your ass and made a home?" He groaned at the sound of his own voice, realizing that his headache was coming back.

"Just get the hell out. I'll be gone soon. I'll work out my problems that you seem to just now give a shit about and then when I come back? It's all behind me," he told her and leaned against the counter, watching her just pour everything out.

If there was one way to piss Faith off, it was to talk about her "high horse". Faith Lehane didn't have a high horse. If she did, it was because she stole it from Buffy just to piss her off.

Grabbing Dean by his shirt she picked him up, literally pulling him off of his feet and slamming his back down on the counter with a push that knocked all of the contents to the floor below. Some were dishes that broke, but it wouldn't be the first time that Faith and Dean broke a few dishes.

"I'm not gonna get the hell out. Cause you know what?" She leaned in closer to him, holding him down on the counter. "Me getting out hasn't done you much good. Oh, I tried to be the good one. Y'know? I let Em do the meddling and I stayed the fuck out of it, but you just couldn't let me, could you? Had to keep draggin' me back into it. Don't put your shit on me, Winchester. I've had about enough."

Seething now, Faith threw him on the floor watching as he landed hard on top of all of the things that had been pushed off of the counter.

"Don't you tell me what I give a shit about."

Faith had spent most of her childhood cleaning up after her drunken mother. She wasn't gonna do it for Dean now.

He laid there on the floor on top of dishes and whatever else was on the counter that was now underneath him a little broken. "No one asked you to get in the middle of it. Unless it was Solvei, then ..." He stopped when he saw the look on her face and just rolled his eyes before picking himself up. Whatever. He twisted his body, trying to look behind him before fanning out his shirt, letting whatever was on his back fall to the ground.

He felt like shit right now, pretty much but no one asked her to get in the middle of it. He sure as hell didn't. He knew what her past was like, whatever Solvei told him and there were rare moments when it was just them and they were talking. Her mother was an alcoholic whore and that was putting it nicely, so he could get where she was coming from, but any way you looked at it? Dean wasn't her mom and she needed to work out those issues on someone else.

"Fine, you care, look at that. We're havin' a moment, now get the fuck out," he gritted out even though he knew she wasn't gonna leave. Instead she was gonna throw around her holier than thou bullshit that was kinda funny coming from her of all people.

"Just let me fuckin' deal with this on my own, alright? I'm gonna get it straightened out, I can't just fuckin' blink and be like, damn, it's over with. You should know that," he said a little too loudly, a little too fast.

Faith narrowed her eyes at him. The thing was, she understood Dean. Better than any of the rest of them. For as close as she was with Solvei, for the soft spots in her heart she had reserved for Emily and Sam, Dean was always the one that she understood the best. His desire to deal with everything on his own was probably going to kill him one day.

"Nobody expects you to. But you and Sol are both just tryin' to destroy yourselves and each other and I'm not gonna just sit around and watch you do it. So fuck you, Dean. I'm not going anywhere." Faith said, putting her hands on her hips. She was half surprised that he hadn't tried to strike back at her yet but on the other hand she knew that deep down, Dean knew she was right.

She folded her arms over her chest and just gave him a long look. "You're not getting it straightened out." She told him. "Shit or get off the pot, Dean. You're just torturing yourself drawin' it out like this. You're better than this."

"I just don't know how to fix it," he said finally after a few minutes from where he was standing. It wasn't exactly hard to say to say that, it was just more harder to actually admit it. There were alot of thing that Dean couldn't fix, he just didn't want to believe it because then it would mean it was really done and over. He felt that Solvei wanted to start back up again but he just didn't know how and in most ways, he didn't. Before he came here, she had another life and he just came and mucked it up and he didn't understand how she couldn't realize that.

With his dad, he understood. He'd been through alot and maybe by him taking space or whatever, he was working out his own demons, although it sucked. He felt like he was being blacksheeped or whatever. He wasn't the right one, but it was still the same. Him and other Dean were the same person, just different times in their life. That Dean never watched Sam die, never sold his soul to bring Sam back and never tried like hell to get out of it only to finally die and go to hell to be brought back out. He didn't blame himself or his brother for not really taking to him because it was different and for the most part, confusing.

"I'll figure it out. I hate bein' like this, you know? I just ..." She knew. She knew how he felt, he didn't have to explain it.

"But yeah, I know what you're sayin'. I fucked up and this past week fucked with me hardcore. I just gotta move on."

Faith felt all of her angry resolve fading away as Dean did his best Sam impersonation with the saddest eyes she had ever seen. She lowered her arms, feeling the fight and tension relax out of all of her muscles. Yeah, Faith knew what Dean was saying and she wondered how long it would take them all too recover from the last week.

Well, not her. She was fine. Five by five. She couldn't afford to let the things that upset the rest of them get under her skin. After all, somebody's got to be the sane and reasonable one, guarding the gates. If she ran off to cry and drink and self-destruct too she was sure they would all be fucked.

"I don't think you can fix it." She told him seriously. "I think you just gotta let it be." She shrugged, grabbing a broom he had nearby and sweeping up the broken pieces of glass that littered the floor from her little explosion. Once it was sweeped up into a corner, she rested the broom against the cabinet before looking up at Dean again.

"She expects me to fix it." It was true. No matter what, that's all that Solvei wanted, was for Dean to somehow fix it and everything would be perfect again. Things weren't perfect before, they just worked. Right now though, they weren't working and the one or two times it felt like the right track, they both got thrown off again.

"She doesn't say it, but I know she does."

Moving around, he picked up random things that fell on the floor when Hurricane Faith came in and set them on the counter. He went back to his coffee and took a sip before finally leaning against the counter.

Dean looked over at the clock and figured he should go ahead and get ready to go. "I'll be gone for a few days. Sam broke the Impala so I'm gonna go fix it before ... I ... come home," Dean made a face at that, but then shrugged. That's how it was now. "Well, you know, the other one of me."

"Well, then she expects too much." Faith said, not really agreeing or disagreeing with Dean. She had no idea what Solvei expected right now. She was just sick with grief as far as Faith could tell and that meant her expectations along with everything else were completely unreasonable at the moment.

The two of them were silent for a few minutes as they cleaned the wreck of a kitchen that Faith had created. She figured at least she brought breakfast. And she was helping to clean it up, when really she should just do what he asked and leave.

"If it makes you feel any better, I like this version of you way better." She admitted to him. Faith didn't really have a problem with the other Winchesters in this world but she wasn't exactly their number one fan at this point considering how quickly they had taken offense to what she had originally assumed to be good natured playfulness.

"Even if you are drunk and pathetic." She added in, just to make sure she wasn't being too nice. "Good luck with other Sammy. Kid's a pussy. You gotta toughen him up."

Maybe she was right. Solvei expected too much out of Dean and he just couldn't give it to her. He was pretty much like, they tried, it didn't work, move on. That's what he felt like right now. It wouldn't take anything away from her in the fact that he didn't care about her because he always would. If she ever needed him, he'd be there, but he couldn't be there for her anymore. The time had passed and he was moving on. Besides, she was happy with Kyle or whatever.

"Dude, I haven't changed," he pointed out. "It's still me. The day you dragged my ass outta hell," he clarified, before shrugging, "Well, not the same as that, but you get my drift," he told her and finished picking up his apartment that became Faith's stomping ground.

Rolling his eyes, he walked over and grabbed the last muffin. "Nah, he's not. He's just different, he didn't go through the shit that we went through." We meaning him and his Sam and even after hell with all of them. "Guess he has this pretty sweet life, why would he wanna give that up?" In truth, Dean was a little jealous of the good life they seemed to have going on. Especially jealous of his ... other self considering it seemed he had everything just paved to goodness. Yeah, not me, he thought and sighed.

He doubted anything would ever get that good. Not ever again anyway.
