Onyxx watched as she summoned the glyph, filing away the fact that she had a second voice for later pondering. Right now it didn't matter. She was back, and that was all that mattered right now. He probably would bring it up later, out of curiosity, but he was too happy right now to even feel curious.
Had the police shown up, Candy would have seen how brutal and harsh Onyxx had become. The last time he fought police, for instance, he'd torn off a man's head and spine and then used it like a large flail to beat the rest of the police with. It had been gruesome and deeply satisfying for him.
He stroked her hair and kissed the top of her head, smiling at the smell of the sea that clung to her. It reminded him of their first date, which was never a bad thing to be reminded of. "What happened doesn't matter now. It's not important. You're here and alive and that right there is it. Nothing else matters."
