Dean waved everyone out and stayed where he was in his seat. He couldn't help talking about the 'job' because he was the one staying at home with Solvei like he had been for the last month. The closest he went away with them was about three weeks ago and Emily stayed behind, but Solvei was having contractions and Dean had to turn around with everyone because of it. He had taken her to the hospital but it was a false alarm. From that day on, he just stayed behind with her, just in case of everything and he was kinda missing it. Alright, he was missing it alot, but what could he do?
Everything was leading up to this moment and where he was panicking before, he was doing better now, even with the baby starting to come out. Grabbing her hand, he didn't care if she broke it fully, he just wanted to be beside her and helping her along. Before he thought it was hilarious when Emily and Sol would practice the breathing exercises, but now he was struggling to remember them.
"Alright, let's get moving," the doctor said a little too cheerfully for Dean's taste, like the doctor was gonna find extreme satisfaction that his girlfriend was about to go through an immense amount of pain.
"You alright baby? I'm right here," he whispered and got up from his chair and stood beside her as he held her hand while she pushed. Five minutes later, he stood speechless while the baby was being moved around the room to a weighing station. He watched while the nurses cleaned off the baby, weighed the baby and wrapped the baby up. The doctor was busy tending to Solvei and Dean just watched as the nurses brought the baby back and rested the little one in Solvei's arms once the doctor was finished.
"Oh, yeah, you guys didn't want to know what the baby was until huh?" The doctor grinned a little and got up. Dean swallowed hard and looked down at the baby and at his girlfriend as the doctor confirmed that it was in fact, a boy.
Curling his lips up into a grin, he bit his bottom lip.
"Do you have a name picked out?"
"Yeah, we uh, yeah," Dean started and finished with, "John Harrison Winchester."
