Who: Faith and Buffy
What: Reunion
When: Yesterday.
Where: Buffy's crib
Warnings: Extreme sassyness

Faith was nervous as hell and kind of pissed off ever since this whole Solvei and Dean and Dean's evil twin crap went down. She'd had her fill of people who seemed to be something they weren't and she had decided immediately that Alt World sucked.

Now to add a whole new dimension to the suckyness was Buffy. Faith and Buffy had always had a strained relationship but the truth was, they hadn't really spoken in years. Faith secretly liked it that way at this point in her life but Buffy seemed to feel differently. She wanted to blow her off at first but then she realized that a blown off Buffy is a suspicious Buffy. A suspicious Buffy was a snoopy Buffy and the last thing Faith wanted was for Officer Buffy to find out about the brothel she'd been running from her house.

She didn't bother to knock, just let herself in Buffy's apartment.

"Knock, knock." She said as Buffy finally came into view.

Buffy came walking up from the back room to the door just as Faith walked in. "Hey," she said, giving a little wave and Faith shut the door. The apartment that she was living in apparently wasn't big, but it wasn't small. It was ... comfortable.

"Wanted to get away from me that much that you ... came here?" Buffy asked, teasing a little because Faith was long gone before this. She hadn't seen her in a few years, but she knew she was on the road with Solvei and the Winchesters that she briefly heard about.

"So, this is it," Buffy sighed when Faith still didn't say anything and showed her around a little bit, even pointing out the uniform that was hers now, hanging on a door.

"You want something to drink or something," she offered. "I don't know what's in there, but you know, help yourself ..." Trailing off, she finally crossed her arms over her chest. Okay, if being in an alternate universe wasn't bad enough, Faith giving mass amounts of cold shoulder made it a little worse.

"Thanks," Faith said, turning back to the fridge to root around for something. As luck would have it, whoever was here before Buffy was obviously more awesome. Because they had beer. Faith really couldn't picture Buffy even touching the stuff but you never could be sure about anything. Especially in this world.

Opening the bottle Faith wanted to snicker a little bit. Buffy's apartment was small. It wasn't exactly Mexican waiter small but it was definitely cop small. Not pimp small. Pimp small was actually kind of gigantic in Faith's opinion.

"So you're a cop, huh?" She asked, unable to hide the disdain in her voice as she walked through Buffy's apartment and looked around. "You really gonna y'know, do that?" She shrugged. What? It was a fair question in her opinion. In a sick kind of way, Buffy as a cop made sense. She also wondered about the handcuffs she owned but decided to wisely keep that curiosity to herself.

Buffy leaned against the counter watching Faith dig through the fridge. Yep, she remembered the first night she met her. Hungry and horny. Only this time, it was thirsty and cold shoulder giver. She didn't say anything and just watched her. Faith moved from the kitchen and looked around the place. What? Was her place bigger and better or something? Buffy's place was cute. She frowned a little and followed her while Faith looked around.

"I don't know. I remember when I took that test in school to find out what I'd be best at and ... well, this is just a nightmare come true," she said dryly with a pout. "But hey, I get free donuts right? Because those are always good," she added in and shrugged.

"You never told me what you did. Some guy said that you were hiding something. What are you hiding you big hider?" She asked, slightly smiling as she stood in front of Faith.

"I have a pet iguana." Faith lied nervously when Buffy asked her what she was hiding. She quickly made a mental note to strangle the life out of Dean Winchester the next time she saw him. She could already tell that Buffy wasn't buying her story.

"Don't listen to that guy, he ride the special bus to school every day. Swear to God. If you get close to him sometimes he gets excited and drools. Just a fair warning y'know, to stay away from him." Because he had the tendency to say things just to get a rise out of Faith.

"But seriously, I'm not hiding anything." Faith tried to make herself sound serious as she kept looking around Buffy's house until she stopped in the living room. "Hey, nice DVD collection." She said before turning back around to look at Buffy. "Alright. This is boring. Wanna go kill something?"

Buffy frowned and raised an eyebrow, just watching Faith. A pet iguana. Right. "Faith, if you had one those, it would probably be dead already," she said and gave her a look. She was definitely hiding something and it wouldn't be long until Buffy found out. She always found out. Then she always won.

"Aww, like a puppy," she couldn't help but grin, but Faith clarified again to stay away from him. "Noted. I don't really like being drooled on anyway," she added and turned around. What was up with Faith? Nice DVD collection?

She almost wanted to laugh, but she didn't. Instead, Buffy felt relief flood her feature. "Oh yes, definitely." Walking to the back of the room, she looked through the closet, grabbing a jacket before heading to the front with Faith.

"Anything good to slay around here?" She asked as she walked out the door.

Faith tried to picture Dean like a puppy. A big, angry and bitchy puppy. A stupid looking golden retriever came to mind and she shrugged. It wasn't that far off actually, she'd roll with it.

"I dunno, dude. I haven't been here that long but me and Sol found a couple vamps that were decent. This place is pretty fucked up though. It's filled to the brim with freaks but they don't look too kindly on vampire slayers. Cause, get this, they don't want people killing vampires."

She looked at Buffy's expression and smirked. "Yeah, I thought it was pretty funny too." Faith admitted as the two of them walked down the steps and outside, off to to slay vampires or hopefully, something more badass than that.

"There's also weird shit here. Like big bad guys. Then again, the real world's got that too." Faith shrugged.

Faith and Buffy headed toward the cemetery with Faith leading the way. Buffy was still a little shaky about being there, but there was nothing she could do. She figured there could be alot actually, but she figured if Faith gave up already, then there really wasn't anything to fight for. They were stuck. Buffy wondered for a moment how Giles was doing and then her thoughts moved on to Dawn. Then to Xander. Xander and Buffy had been spending this whole time trying to find Faith and Solvei and they were here the whole time. Now that Buffy had vanished, she couldn't even imagine what Xander was going through. But, if anyone could find out what was going on, it was Giles, Willow and Xander. Buffy just knew they'd figure it out.

Faith led Buffy to a cemetery that actually wasn't far from her apartment. When Faith came out and said that people here didn't want their vampires slayed, she gave Faith an amused, yet 'you've got to be kidding me' look. How could people not want their vampires slayed? Unless they all had souls. Ugh, Buffy had enough problems in the past with pesky vampires with souls and it didn't really end well on either accounts.

"Well, it looks like we'll be kept busy if nobody actually slays the vamps here. Many to go around," she grinned and walked inside the cemetery gates with Faith.

"Aww, we're having date night," Buffy teased lightly and nudged Faith a little. Yeah, okay, that was a little weird considering they haven't been like that in years upon ... well many more years. And they haven't seen eachother in just ... years and now here they were. In some other alternate universe and together at that.

"You should show me your place tonight. Am I gonna be all kinds of jealous?"

Faith bristled a little bit when Buffy referred to this as "date night". They hadn't had one of those in years and Faith wondered if Buffy was flirting with her or if she was just being her usual blonde self.

"Uh. No." She said quickly. "I mean, I'd show you the place but it's getting renovated right now. It's a mess." Faith smiled at Buffy slightly as they stalked through the graveyard. "It's really nothing special anyway."

Lies. Faith's new house was so big she didn't even know what to do with it. Luckily, Emily seemed to have a better idea and had already begun redecorating. There were always people coming and going out of their house, which meant trying to invite Buffy over and hide what she did would be nearly impossible.

Plus, she had a loud mouthed roommate. Faith made a mental note to never have Buffy and Emily in the same room.

Buffy frowned. "Why not?" Please, like Buffy cared about a place being renovated and since when did Faith care so much? One day she'd go see it. Whatever Faith was hiding, Buffy was sure to find out. She couldn't keep it a secret for long.

Since Faith wasn't giving up too many details about her new place, or her new life, Buffy decided to change the subject.

"Xander and Giles have been working really hard to try and find you and Solvei," she said plainly and looked over in Faith's direction. "Xander's pretty much given up his life to do nothing but search. He's kinda, well, sorta, uh ... well, let's just say he's kind of a badass. It's really weird, but whatever. He's just not Xander anymore and ... yeah." She finished and kept on walking along side of her when Buffy stopped suddenly.

"Bingo," Buffy pointed over to a few definite vampies ... playing cards? Well, as long as they weren't playing kitten poker they were ... well, still gonna be dust, so whatever.

"Xander? Badass?" Faith arched an eyebrow in Buffy's direction. It wasn't that Faith thought Buffy was a liar, it was just that she was having an impossible time picturing Xander Harris as anything but the lovable dork who tagged along with Buffy's precious

She almost felt bad. Out of all of Buffy's friends, Xander had really been the only one she ever liked. She couldn't stand Willow most of the time, and she was sure she'd never forgive Giles but Xander was at least a straight shooter and Faith respected that.

"He's gonna flip now that you're gone to." She said, as if Buffy didn't already know that.

Faith just stood and looked at the vampires sitting around in the graveyard playing cards. Unexpectedly, she grabbed ahold of Buffy's arm and just looked over at her. "They're playing cards. Not exactly snacking on the blood of the innocent."

"Yeah, I know," Buffy said a little surprised that she even called Xander a badass. "People do things, or act a certain way when well, they have to I guess. And hey, Xander did have his badass moments. You just weren't around for that apparently," she defended him with a shrug.

"Yeah. I really don't know, I mean, yeah, they're all gonna flip and try a little bit harder now that all three of us are missing. I hope Dawn's okay," she said a little quietly.

Buffy looked on at the vampies taking a break from you know, bloodsucking the innocent to play cards. Faith grabbed onto Buffy's arm and held her back just as Buffy was starting to go for the charge.

"Okay, apparently we switched roles. What's stopping you?" Buffy asked, raising her eyebrow. Yeah, Buffy was well aware that there were vampires who had souls, blah blah, but there were only two that she knew of, and they were in the real world. Not in some alternate universe. With a sigh, she held onto her trusty stake and looked at her friend.

"Okay," she shrugged and gave Faith a look. "Wanna go play with them?" Buffy grinned a little, mostly teasing. Buffy wasn't really the card playing type anyway and to play with vampires? The closest she ever got to doing that was playing war with Spike. Yep, the easiest card game that ever lived. Besides fifty two pick up. She hated that game.

Faith rolled her eyes when Buffy asked if she wanted to go and play with them. What was she going to do? Go over and play a round of poker with vampires? She didn't think so. She slayed the bad guys, she didn't hang out with them. Unless they were Angel or Spike, and then she made an exception to the rule. Though, it wasn't like she would expect Sol, Dean and Sam to do the same.

Stalking up behind the vampires, Faith grabbed the closest one by the back of his jacket. "Hey!" He cried out as she yanked him backwards and threw him on the grass where he cowered a little bit much to her surprise.

"Seriously?" She asked him, putting a foot on his chest and leaning down over him. "You're seriously just gonna be a pussy? Not even gonna get up and fight me?"

His face changed then and he snarled at Faith from down on the ground. A wide grin broke over her face as she watched him, amused before she pulled him back to his feet roughly and shoved him. "That's better." She nodded her approval.

Buffy was attacking the other vampire while Faith held up two fingers in a "come hither" motion to the vampire formerly known as pussy.

Okay. Did Faith just trick her? That ... trickster. Buffy followed after Faith quickly, holding onto her stake. She almost giggled when the vampy cried out at Faith, but then it was work as usual. The evil bumpies and the extreme fighting, followed by a big pile of dust. At least the vamp that went after Buffy wasn't well, a wimpy. He put up a pretty good fight, throwing Buffy for a loop, but a good solid kick landed the vampire on a headstone, making him fall over backwards.

Standing over the vampire, she grinned down at it. "Oooh, how about a royal dust!" She punned and slammed the stake down, watching as the vampire bursted into a cloud of dust. Frowning, she brushed off her jacket and looked over at Faith for a second and stood back, watching her take on the vampire.
