Sam had never been so relieved in her life as she was to talk to Mary and Danny on the board a little while ago. After last night's fiasco of actually going to that crap ass casino to do that crap ass job she was almost relieved when she got fired. Then, when she was trying to hurry home she was almost attacked. This part... Mary and Danny would never believe and she wasn't even sure if she should bring it up. She kinda thought that she had to though. Just in case they were ever caught in the same situation. Mary more than Danny, 'cause she knew that Danny could handle himself okay. Mary was no pushover either... it was just that Danny was stronger... and blah blah. You get the drift.

Anyways, last night when she was dealing, a very handsome man and his friend came to the table. At first she was just annoyed with him. Because he gave her that look that said 'hahaha I know I am handsome' and if it was any other time? Sam might've found it amusing. But not last night, because she was dishing out cards instead of showing a whale a good time. Back to the story. The handsome man... whose name was John (let's just call him that for now shall we?) asked her if she wanted to switch things up a little bit. They'd play highest card wins. If Sam won she'd get all of his chips, if John won he'd get a smile from her. Since Sam was very poor she agreed. The security team (crap ass team that it was) decided that she was not allowed to do such a thing so they fired her.

Now, here comes the part that she will not tell her friends. Two men tried to attack her. It was not John and his friend... don't even think that. They were the ones that saved her. The two men? Were not men. They were vampires. Yes, vampires. With big pointy teeth and everything. John and his friend killed them, end of story.

Now comes the weird part. Sam was so charmed by this that she gave John her real phone number. And she was actually kind of hoping that he would call. But for now she had better things to do. Like getting her life back.

That's why she had found a cab (since she didn't have a car, she really missed her Aston Martin right now) and headed off to Danny and Mary's casino. She found her way easily enough to Mary's office. Knocking on the door she actually waited for an answer before barging in.

Danny stood on the side of Mary's desk closest to the door. He'd pulled his collar away from his neck, and he rolled his head, even as he turned to look at Sam. She was familiar, and a small part of him couldn't help but feel relieved. He stepped toward her, and easily engulfed her in a hug.

"Sam, good to see you," he muttered. He had been beginning to think he was losing his mind, given everything that was going on.

	Mary rose from where she was seated. She knew that she and Danny were going to need to talk and hash out some things, but Sam got there a lot faster than anticipated so they'd have to wait till she was gone. "It is good to see you, Sam," Mary said, walking around the end of her desk to hug her after Danny did. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	After hugging both of them she said very bluntly, "Even for us this is pushing the envelope on messed up. You guys figure out what's going on besides some sort of tornado that swept us to bizarro world?" When she realized that she was pacing she plopped herself in a chair across from Mary's desk. 	When Mary said that Sam stopped. It was almost like all of the wheels in her head stopped turning. "Wait... You were still at the Montecito?" She looked at Danny for help. "Never mind. Think I must've hit my head or something." There was no way that Sam was going to tell them what she knew. No way that she was going to tell Mary that she almost shot her father and had to go away. No way was she going to tell Danny that Delinda was pregnant. And she sure as hell was not going to go over the whole thing with Vince again. She's already been through that enough.

"So... are you guys going to hire me or what? I'll make you a lot of money."

Sam smiled, very happy to have her old job back. Not exactly the same, but, in no time she could build up another client list. "In that case, I am going to need a room. And an advance so I can buy some suitable clothes." She hated asking for it but her apartment just wouldn't do. And she doubted that they would approve of the floral pattern moo moos that were in the closet of the lady that she replaced. All of the money that she had had in her wallet she had used to buy what she was currently wearing.

	Danny gave Sam a slightly annoyed look. She had a point, but still. "How much?" It would take time to get her a room in the hotel. They hadn't had a chance to assess that angle of things. "Okay... I guess that's fine. I'll have new clients lined up soon enough." Sam stood up. She knew that some of the same people that she had as clients before were in this world. This all was so strange.

Out of the blue Sam looked from Mary to Danny. Something was up with them and she couldn't put her finger on it yet. Maybe these were different versions of them here? "I'll let you two get back to work then. As soon as I'm done with my shopping I'll get to work too."

	Danny was a bit surprised she'd take half of what she asked for, but he wasn't going to argue with her. He nodded and smiled, and wondered how Ed dealt with her all these years passed. "Okay, Sam. 	Mary leaned over and grabbed the phone, calling the front desk. She spoke to them briefly, arranging a room for Sam, telling them to have housekeeping go up right away to get it ready. She replaced the receiver and looked at Sam. "Already in the works." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"Thanks guys." On impulse she walked around Mary's desk and gave her a hug before coming back around and giving one to Danny. Normally she wasn't the most huggy person but she was really grateful that they were here. Last night had been a nightmare without knowing anybody. "I'll be back later."
