"Yep. If you really want me to show them to you on the hood of your car and all you'd have to sing power rock ballads to me." She returned his eyebrow raise with one of her own but she was unable to keep the smile off her face.
Solvei really didn't let her birthdays get her down. Yeah, she thought it'd be nice to have a party or to go out and do something specifically for her birthday but she was okay with not having anything special. "Spending time with you is memorable enough Kyle. You don't have to make a big deal out of it."
When he told her that he already had somewhere in mind for them to go to she was curious and a little surprised. Either it was some place that meant something to him and he wanted to share it with her. Or, he'd thought about taking her to the place before. "Is it a secret? Or are you gonna tell me about it?"
Solvei smiled at Kyle a little sadly at him telling her his favorite memory. It wasn't that she was sad for him that he had that. She just got a little nostalgic thinking fleetingly about her Mom and how things would've been so much different if her Mom had lived. "That's really cool of your Mom. It doesn't sound pathetic at all. She wanted you to have something of her. You had no idea that she could paint before that?" Sol wished for him that he still had the painting here.
"Nope, I've never been. Always wanted to try it but I've never gotten the chance. Have you?" Ice skating sounded like something that she'd like to do.
First one that came to her mind was, "Favorite color?" She had an idea but she wanted to know for sure.
