"Do you?" Kyle quirked a brow at the comment before he smiled. It was funny that they had the same thought in their heads. He had been thinking about that exact music video when he made the comment about dancing on the hood of his car. Of course he'd just been teasing, it was a little ridiculous to actually consider, but it did make him smile.
The thought of her never having celebrated a birthday really did bother him. Only because she deserved better. "I'll make it a day you'll remember, I promise." He didn't know exactly what he was going to do or what he'd be able to come up with but he knew he'd make it special. There were a lot of things that he wanted to do in order to make up for some of the things Solvei had missed out on.
"I think we could sneak away for a few nights. I already know just the place." Somewhere he use to go to when things weren't exactly great for him. It wasn't a Green Lantern secret, just a Kyle Rayner secret, and he wanted to share it with her.
The memory of what they'd done in the shower still definitely got his blood pumping. "I'm sure we'll get to try plenty of things." He was fairly open about that kind of thing. He'd never really done anything too crazy but he wasn't close minded either.
"My favorite memory..." That was something pretty thought provoking. "There's a lot to choose from..and some wouldn't even make sense. And this one is going to sound pathetic. When I went off to college, it was just me, y'know? I didn't see anyone else very often. I was feeling pretty homesick. So I was digging through one of the boxes I'd brought from home, Mom had packed it. Just random stuff...nothing out of the ordinary. At the bottom there was a painting. I hadn't drawn it. So I pull it out..and it's beautiful. I had no idea where it came from. So I'm looking all over the thing for a name...and I finally find one. It was my mom's. She painted it. Just..knowing we had that in common? Kindred spirit or whatever? I felt really close to her even when she was miles away."
There'd been plenty of others, but that one stuck out the most, at least at the moment. "Have you ever been ice skating?"
