Who: Sadako Yamamura & Sweeney Todd
What: Trip to New York City!
Where: NYC and London.
When: Sunday
Warning: SRS warnings for gore, violence, blood. You know, usual standard fare for Killer!Sweeney. More violence occurring in Sadako's special brand of killy. Sap. Schmoop. Possible sex.

London mornings were dreary and gray, or at least this particular one was. The fog had yet to burn off and the clouds had yet to roll back, and it was well past nine when Sweeney showed up on Sadako's doorstep. He had asked Petit to look after Kage and the shop for the day while he had business to take care of in America, and although it was a business trip in his mind, at least half of the thrill of it was going there with Sadako.

He knocked on the lady's door, and waited patiently as ever while she answered. He was dressed fairly modern for what he usually wore. Though it was business-casual, it was still dark colors and rather keyed down from the norm. He had tucked one of his friends into his pocket -- it was Annette, the Maiden. He'd deliberated taking Josephine, the Wife, instead... but Annette was in need to get a taste after a century and a half.

And the only other thing that was to note about him was that he'd pulled his hair back into a short tail, held off by a ribbon. It wasn't as if he wanted to draw any more attention to himself than he already got with his pallor and streak of white. After all -- he was planning on 'thanking' a celebrity.

It was enough to make Sadako's stomach flutter, make her heart skip two beats. When he kissed her cheek she nodded in response, standing up to pull her skirt back on. When she did, she wrapper her arms around him from behind, smiling. Thank you.

He made a small sound of victory as he found the blouse, and offered it to her, "What for, luv?"

The endorphins had worn off by that point, and he was back to being rather chilly in temperament. He slid on a shirt of his own, slowly buttoning it up, leaving the cuffs unbuttoned for the time being. "I only have shown you how I feel, how you make me feel. Nothing really to be thankful for, though if you're not used to that sort of thing..." He got an impish smile, "I'll make you more than accustomed to it in due time."

She slipped on the shirt and nodded. "I'm not used to it, no." His smile was returned with a smirk of her own. "Oh will you? I look forward to it."

Sadako moved to open the door, finding Kage in the same place she'd been left. "Hello, darling."

He followed Sadako, pulling on his vest and straightening it before buttoning it and setting his razor inside his pocket. Kage looked up and her tail thumped the wall and floor as she wagged it. She sat up and led the way back down the hall, trotting at a slightly happier pace, her claws clicking on the wooden floors as she made her way into the kitchen. Sweeney slipped out to the living room area. "What bothers me the most," he said as he sat down in a chair, "Is that they remodeled some time after I'd died. There was a wall just there, where you see the difference in the window design. This used to all be storefront right here, and that's where the parlor once was." He shook his head, "They completely tore out the stairway up into the shop from inside, boarded it up. Gives it more room up there, makes it more spacious down here, but it's different." He shook his head. "Well, at least the building's here still. Should be glad for that."

She followed Sweeney to the living room, sitting down on the couch. "The world changes while you're dead," she murmured. The well she'd been tossed into had been hidden by a building that was part of a vacation lodge. She shook her head. "So much to get used to. I'm glad I did it once already."

He didn't have much issue with the world changing so drastically in such a long period of time. He was just upset that his own personal world was changed with it. His home would be remodeled once again to suit him, make things like they once were, at least in the safety of his own domicile.

He turned to her, not making eye contact. "I haven't yet said thank you for your help." He realized that she'd helped her more than most did in getting him used to the changes. And not only that, but she'd been through a similar circumstance once already. He realized that she might have been more of a sympathetic ear than he'd ever be able to ask for. Not that he would have. "And how lucky I was to have the good fortune in meeting you." He added, finally making eye contact.

"You don't have to thank me, Mister Todd." Suddenly, calling him Sweeney felt awkward again. "I feel lucky as well. I may have gotten you more acclimated to the time, but you reminded me what it is like to have someone who is a friend. I should be thanking you."

He noticed the switch out from his first name to last, and followed suit, though putting a bit of emphasis on it when he said, "Miss Yamamura, I too have had very few friends, but the ones I keep, they outshine all the other people in the world. They are important, they are jewels. You are the most brilliant jewel of all my friends. Never feel grateful for my friendship, for you'll find it is likely fair-weather."

He knew that well enough.

That made her smile, and she ventured a tentative stab at familiarity. Thank you, Sweeney.

It wasn't that she didn't still adore him - she did. It was that she knew that sometimes after making magic in the bedroom, ardor cooled in the other rooms of the house.

Sweeney smiled, "You're welcome, Sadako." Though his own personality went from warm and inviting and satisfied to its usual chilly seriousness, he lost no fondness and familiarity with the lovely lady, which he was confident to call by her first name.

"You are a gem. Just remember that." His attention was drawn to Kage then, who'd dropped her muzzle onto his knee and snuffled, looking utterly forlorn. "What? Do you need a walk already? Should learn to steel your bladder, pup." He huffed, and then patted the dog on the head, "Well go on then, find the leash. We'll walk Miss Yamamura home, how's that sound?" He turned to Sadako again, "Unless you'd like to stay after the walk?"

"If you'd have me, I'd like to stay." She looked at her hands, a touch sheepish. Though she did bounce off to go grab Kage's leash, grinning and clipping it to her collar.

"And I'll remember. Though you may have to remind me from time to time."
