It was cold, and Lily was mostly annoyed though amused despite herself. She figured she'd better get out any kind of smiles and giggles before James showed up. Because she couldn't possibly let him know that he was amusing. He drove her around the bend, but he had some good moments. She just wasn't going to tell him that. This whole place was very odd, and she still didn't know if she got what was going on.

She waited at the train station with her hands in her pockets, wondering what it was going to be like having to put up with him 24 hours a day.

James slowed down, figuring she just needed a minute to take it all in. But she was strong. She'd be okay. She was Lily Evans, who could kick his arse in the blink of an eye. She could handle this. He hoped. "I wish I was sometimes," James said with a sigh. "They're good kids, I have to say. Some of them have a flair for drama, but I think they might get that from my side of the family."

James watched her back. "It gets easier. At first it's overwhelming and scary, but then you get used to it and it's not so bad."

Lily gave a small snort, "Of course they get that from you." because she wasn't dramatic. Maybe underdramatic, whatever the word for that was. "If this whole thing wasn't so.. I don't know, then I'd accuse you of saying we already have kids just so you can get into my pants." she was used to that though.

At least she'd stopped pacing. She really wanted to sit down. "Can we go.. home? I think I need to sit.."

"Well, if children are what it takes to get in your pants..." he grinned brightly, relieved that she wasn't falling apart. She was strong, just like he'd imagined.

"Yeah, we can go home." Home. She'd called it home. If he were the sort to squee, he certainly would have. And it would have been manly. But he contained himself for the minute. "Want to apparate over?"

"You are not knocking me up. I'm 17 for god's sake.." she flailed slightly, but that was the extent of it. "No sex for you until you learn how to ... treat a woman with respect." Ha.

She shrugged, "Sure, but you know where it is, I'll have to tag along.." which meant being close to him. Great. Ah well. She went over and took a hold of his arm without saying anything.

"Evans..." James looked at her, eyes widened dramatically. "Are you saying that there will be..." he lowered his voice to a near whisper, "sex?" He bit back the laugh. "Sex in which you and I are participants?" He was teasing her. She was probably going to hit him. He didn't mind.

"Alright." He said this once he could stop grinning evilly. "You're going to have to touch me." He might have added emphasis to the touch me, if only to irritate her.

	For both of those, she reached up and smacked him upside his head, eyebrows knitted together in annoyance. "Shut up and apparate us, Potter before I have the urge to turn you into a woman." because he obviously was more of a woman then she was. An annoying woman, but still. 	He raised up his hands in a weak defense and took the smack laughing. "Alright, alright!" He was smiling at her as his hands fell to his side. His wand was hidden up his sleeve. It was out in a minute. Reaching out, he took Lily by the forearm and apparated. In a second, they were standing in their living room. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

When they'd apparated she'd let go of him after a moment and looked around. Very modern. This whole change in time was going to be confusing, but at least she could get a hang of it. She hoped. "Hm." was all she said about the apartment. She was kind of hoping he was lying about the lack of two rooms, but she doubted it.

Oh right. She wanted to sit down. So she went to the couch and sat and put her head in her hands and took a deep breath. Finally she sat back and took off her coat. "This is ridiculous."

	James sat down across from her. He wanted to comfort her, but wasn't really sure how. He offered her an apologetic smile before stretching widely. "I know. It is." He didn't know what else to say. 	Slowly she looked over at him, peering at him between her hands and took another deep breath. She wanted to say something mean about how she could have possibly decided to marry him, but she couldn't bring herself to do that. Not now. "You said.. they're here.. our.. kid and our.. grandkids? "Harry's our only son." James smiled. "He's a good kid. After we died, he went to live with your sister. He had a hard life, he fought Voldemort and eventually was the one to end the war." Poor Harry. All he'd been through, it was mad. "He's got your eyes," James said.

"We have two grandkids. There are more, but only two that have shown up here. One's named Lily," James smirked, "She's... a lot like you." Strong and stubborn and good to talk to. "The other's Jamie. James. He's the dramatic one."

"... Harry? The one who.." she had talked to him. In that journal thing. And he'd said he'd thought he'd died. And other things. They all kind of made sense too. "My sister? Oh god.. poor kid.." she rubbed her face again. "You told him not to tell me didn't you? I'll have to talk to him.."

She snorted slightly, "Our kid named his kids after us. That's kind of messed up.. why am I not surprised?" she shut her eyes for a moment and tried to let it all sink in. "Anything else I should know?"

"Yeah, that Harry." James sighed. "I didn't tell him not to tell you. He didn't know how to approach you and I made a suggestion..." Oh yes, that sounded much better. James shrugged lightly. "It's a weird situation. Didn't want you to hear it all at once and get upset."

"The names, I blame on Harry. I mean... I'd never come up with such a monstrosity as 'Albus Severus'... that's our grandkid that hasn't shown up yet."

At her last question, he made a face. There was more to tell. "Well..."

She supposed hearing 'hi I'm your son' would have been a little much. This still wasn't the best thing that had happened to her in a while. Or the worst. It was just. She didn't know how to explain it. "Albus Severus? .. After Dumbledore and... why would he name one of his kids after Severus? Does he not know how much you hate him?"

Right, he was here too, she was going to have to deal with that soon oer later.

"Just tell me James, there's no reason to keep anything else from me, is there?"

"Something about what Sniv- Snape does in the future." James shrugged. He didn't want to talk about Snape, the little shit. Harry had defended the man, but James still felt he was an evil waste of space. But he was big enough to hide this feeling from most of the world.

"It's about the other you... the one that was here before." James ran a hand through his hair. Oh this was going to be awkward as all hell. James was silently swearing to himself.
