Jade hugged him back, squeezing him tightly before letting him take her bag. "Hi Dad," she said.
Libby hugged him back, patting his shoulder awkwardly. She wasn't sure what the protocol was here. She knew he wasn't her Gojyo--she wasn't even sure Gojyo had ever been hers--but it was still complicated. It was harder than it should have been. After a few moments, she nodded. "I could stay for a little while." She could give them space.. Maybe make dinner in the kitchen while they talked, and then she would be there in case they needed someone trained in grief counseling.
After her parents had hugged, Jade grabbed Gojyo's free arm and hugged it before leading him inside.
