Entry tags:delirium, muse

Who: Delirium and Inspira/Muse
What: Mutual comfort- something like that.
When: Tonight, dusk
Where: An Outdoor Theatre of Muse's choice
Warnings: I'll keep you posted

Delirium found herself drawn to the spot Inspira mentioned, in the middle of twilight. Feet dangling from a treebranch, swinging in 3/4 time, she glanced up at the stars, idly musing after her brother. Her friends. Things she had messed up, lately.

Delirium had been in a bad way, ever since her visit with Mikey to Azathoth's realm, and she was hoping a visit with Inspira would help knock her out of her funk. These moods never lasted terribly long, for her- but the sooner she could be done with it, the better.

Inspira had walked her. It wasn't cold to her like it was to the mortals and she liked the view of the trees. The theater was abandoned and she always felt a bit of sadness when she saw it tossed aside.

But it was beautiful.

The words that normally circled her wrists and head were fewer now, although they were slowly coming back. Her rhyme was weak, but promising. She was slowly discovering. From now on she'd give nothing but her words away...

Muse stepped on stage, looking around. In her head, she planned a magnificent play with only the best actors and plots.

Muse stepped forward on the stage. Lights were on her. The audience were on the edge of seats, waiting to hear what she would say...

"Where civil BLOOD makes civil hands unclean. From forth the FATAL loins of these two FOES. A pair of STAR CROSS'D LOVERS take their life!" Muse gasped for a breath she didn't need. But she felt passion running back through her veins.

Romeo and Juliet were lying behind her, no longer needing breath either... She was not aware of Delirium, for she was fully absorbed in the clapping.

"My only LOVE sprung from my only HATE! Too early seen unknown and known TOO LATE! Prodigious birth of love it is to me, that I must love a LOATHED ENEMY."

Muse collapsed to her knees dramatically and looked to the stars. The color of her hair a little brighter.

Delirium herself clapped, an offhand rhythm, setting forth a flurry of butterflies to whisk around Inspira. None dared to touch her until she looked up to notice Delirium, who had moved to stand in what would have been the front row of seats, legs crossing to allow her to bow elaborately.

"Truer words, cousin-mine,"

Inspira looked up as the butterflies surrounded her and smiled, offering a hand for one to land upon.

"He was one of my favorites, you know," she said fondly, descending from the stage. "Even though I was not supposed to choose favorites and even though my sisters claimed him as their own," she said finishing with a sigh.

She sat down next to Delirium, her blue robe always floating and rippling even without wind. "I didn't have claim to many back then, being so young. I am still considered young by them, though. A child even, premature. But, ah, he was my favorite..." she said leaning back into the seat.

The butterfly did just that, wings fluttering softly until she moved, causing the small beauty to join its friend. Delirium shifted to face Inspira as she sat, shrugging a little at her words. "Youth are often the most intelligent- unfettered by the qualms of maturity. I consider it a blessing." She nodded assuredly, folding her feet up onto the seat.
