Who: Skwisgaar Skwigelf (Post-Dethklok), Cuthbert Sneaky McGee When: Around 1:00pm Where: Sneaky's store, London, England What: Finding old treasures Warnings: None! Surprisingly for Skwis
Skwisgaar wasn't exactly the window-shopping sort. But something drew him to the strange little shop as he walked by, and slipped in, brow quirked just a bit. He was immediately reminded, for whatever reason, of Murderface's room. It was cluttered and claustrophobic and stuffy, but welcoming.
The proprietor was somewhere, if the singing was anything to go by, probably some Broadway song, given the quality of it, and he was rather enjoying himself. He'd heard the chime over the door, of course, but he was almost through with the song anyway, smiling as he emerged from the haphazard tangle of shelves, "Ah, hello."
Skwisgaar nodded and squinted one eye. The man looked almost familiar, as if he was supposed to know him, but couldn't put his finger on it. It was a fleeting feeling, however. His own Shadow was behind him, looming and vulture-esque, hopping on one of its three legs off to one side of the store. "Uh ja, hellos." He said, distracted by his pup's odd behavior. "I is a just lookings for a nothings in particulars."
The man nodded, padding around behind the counter, "Well there's plenty of that around here, looking for any sort of nothing in particular?" There was a silent, wholly amused greeting to the guitarist's Shadow as well.
He shook his head, "Nah, I justs sorts of -- dids you just sees That Thing?" He asked. He was more surprised by that than anything. The Shadow just crackled and hopped from the left foot to the right and tried to get its Humans attention.
He nodded, head tilting, both brows arching slightly, "Mm, I did, yes, one of the Muses, been following you for a good long time, hasn't she?" Honestly there wasn't any way to tell a Shadow's gender, they weren't used to having it.
Skwisgaar nodded, "As longs as I can remembers." Which may have been anywhere from a few hours to a dozen years ago, depending on the moment. His brows raised slightly. "Thats is... kinda weirds. Nots a many peoples can sees on them." He shrugged then, and finally went over to see what That Thing was making such a fuss about. "You is looks a sort of familiars..." He mentioned offhandedly before blinking, almost in disbelief at what his Shadow had found. No wait, make that incredibly in disbelief.
He nodded, "I get that a lot." More now that he had an actual face than he did when he was still Shadow, but that was beside the point. He tilted his head, he still moved like a Shadow, even though he was the wrong shape, just waiting to see what had been found.
Skwisgaar gingerly picked up the belt buckle and rubbed his thumb against the top of the skull, almost afraid that it'd disappear in his hands if he held it firmly. Even though his expression was blank and stoic, he was emoting sentimentality all over the place. "Wheres... does you gets this?" He asked after a moment. It even had the same scratches and nicks in its polish that he remembered.
Sneaky shrugged, "Same place I got anything, out of the store room." He shook his head then, smile tilting just a little, "Everybody finds something here, even when they aren't looking for anything."
He was still in awe, and turned to Squeaky, eyes wide. "I goings to buys on this." He said, "Whatevers sorts of price you wants on it." He finally clutched the buckle firmly and looked down to That Thing, shaking his head with a bit of amusement. "Thats is why I am keepings you arounds for."
He laughed softly, reaching over to turn the tag around so he could read it, "Five pounds." A nod, "S'what it says on the tag." And the tags never lied.
His eyes widened even more, "Yous has gots to be shittings." He shrugged then and pulled out his credit card. "I don'ts thinks I buys a things for only that littles bits of money for years." He started over to the counter to go poke around at the jewelry, just to see if anything was worth shoving into his skin.
There was likely some, given the wide range, the whole jewelry case was a carriage of rotating trays, just drifting in slow circles, Sneaky rung the buckle up, "Would you like it wrapped or just in a bag?"
"I goings to puts it on." He said, brow furrowed as he pointed at one of the shiny emerald single earrings that were small enough to fit in with his general melange of earrings. "And thats." He said with a nod, before snagging up his belt buckle, replacing the one he had on with it.
He nodded, adding that as well, stopping the rotation so that he could snag the earring, dropping it into a tiny ziplock bag, "Done and done."
The Shadow rattled at that, more like bare branches than anything as it hopped from one leg to the other, to the next, and Skwisgaar took the earring, sticking it in his pocket. The other belt buckle was left, and he snagged his credit card back, "Ja, uh... I figures I goings to probablies finds a times to shops here more oftens. If you can has on..." He tapped his belt buckle with a lopsided, sincere, and awkward smile, "This things, I figures on you hasing a few more thing I thinks I lose on." He paused then. "You ain'ts gots a real dragons back theres, abouts this tall, coppers?" He asked, spanning a small amount with his fingers for the height.
He shook his head, "If there is I haven't seen one." He tilted his head then, thinking, "No, no haven't seen a real one, no, have a few statues, a tapistry and one hanging one, full-flight." He shook his head again, "None that small though."
He huffed a sigh, "Is worths askings on. Thanks anysway." He started towards the door, then, shaking his head. "If you finds a one, uh... I guess I has to comes back agains to finds out." And with that, he slipped out, exuding pure fucking Skwigelf Glee at the belt buckle. He felt almost whole, again. At least he didn't feel exposed in the bad way anymore. "Ha, you sees that?" He asked his Shadow, and smirked, "I is tells on you abouts hasing a good day todays."
Sneaky just waved, grinning, "Come back any time, either one of you." He liked repeat customers after all.
