His fingers brushed over hers as he took the hoodie. "Thanks." They happened to be passing under a street light, so he could actually see her smile quite clearly. "I'm sorry, you probably smell like boy deodorant and animals now." He probably would have noticed if she did, though. His sense of smell probably wasn't as sharp as hers, but the smell of her, a mix of shampoo and perfume and Rose herself, was still in the air.
They made no attempt to rush to open the door as they arrived at her place, some sense of unspoken... something about them. Gar broke the silence. "I think I had a better time walking you home than I have all night."
