Teddy didn’t say anything. Honestly what was there to say? He just nodded. It was clear, Teddy understood it, it didn’t mean that he liked it. He wanted the things that he had seen those around him had, a family and in a way he still had that. Wasn’t he too old for this stupid dream anyway? He was an adult. “Thanks, dad.” Teddy said slowly, though honestly the word still felt foreign to him.
“Harry said you were a smart one.” Teddy said through a tight lipped smile as he picked up the books that he had once been carrying. He made a move to walk out through the door and put the books in the other stack when he turned around, a curious little smirk on his lips as he looked at his father. “So, how are those dates going?” Teddy didn’t like the idea of his parents dating other people, and he wasn’t going to pretend that everything was just a-okay with it, but he wanted to at least be supportive of his father in the way that his father was trying to be supportive of him.
