Drinking had never been Lorcan's game. Gambling, now that was a fun one now and then, but drinking? Hardly. He was never one to pass up the single whiskey or mead at dinner with the fellas. Ever since Sunday, however, he'd been having a second whiskey, or at least another beer or two. The bloody conscience his father had managed to instill in him with regards to how women should be treated was nagging at his human side over what he had allowed to be done to Sofiya. It negated the need for extra drinks. That and those gits he called manager and consultant were once again doing their best to amp up what he wanted to be a low-key (belated) celebration of his birthday with his fans, but that was the minor complaint compared to recent demons.
After supper, he reclined against a log at one of the three small campfires the Coven made each night and nursed the start of his first whiskey (second drink) while hovering in and out of the conversations around him. Calbhach and some others were discussing a few gadje -- or non-Travellers -- that had been spotted hovering about the grounds and how soon to move out in the morning to avoid another fistfight like the one which had happened in the last town. Deirbhile was off with another woman scolding some of the little ones for not finishing their plates. Eamonn and his mates were about the shadows talking about doing God and he knew what, while a good number of others he didn't identify as 'close family' had begun to sing and dance. It was all rather familiar for the time of year. What wasn't normal was the way Sofiya was walking about the grounds. He studied her a while, taking sips from his mug while trying to figure out just what was up with her.
"OIY!" he stared at her from across the fire. Calbhach and the rest in the general vicinity looked up from their conversations to see what was going on. "Why're you limpin'?"
