They had taken rooms for the night at The Three Broomsticks in Hogsmeade. Harry sat down next to Ron at the small table in their room at once he changed into his pajamas. That had just settled in, Ron and himself in one room while Malfoy was in another. They'd have to start searching for a flat tomorrow. "Hungry, Ron?" he asked, glancing at him.
Ron poked his head through his pajama shirt and shrugged, sitting down on the small bed. "A bit, yeah. Think we can get something to eat now?"
"It's not that late," Harry said, getting up. "And we don't have to change." He smiled, just slipping on his shoes before leaving the room.
Ron chuckled and put on his shoes too, following Harry out of the room. "Oh, sure. S'just like being back at Hogwarts in the Common Room."
"Except with strangers," Harry added, closing the door behind them and heading down the hall and then down the stairs. "You get a table, I'll order something."
Draco was sitting at a table, drinking a glass of mead and waiting for them. He was still dressed in his casual clothing.
Ron nodded and looked around the place to see if he could find them an empty table and he spotted Malfoy. He debated whether to pretend he hadn't seen him and sit somewhere else, but he had promised Harry and he would try not to break it unless Malfoy proved to be his usual git-ful self. With a sigh, he walked towards his table and he sort of stood there, awkwardly in his pajamas, while Malfoy was dressed in his not-normal clothing. "Um, mind if Harry and I sit here?" He forced himself to look at him as he asked, not wanting to show any weakness in front of him.
Draco looked up, arching an eyebrow. He gave a long look up and down Ron, making a face at the pajamas. He nodded and gestured at the empty chair Ron stood behind.
Ron bit back a retort, knowing that Malfoy wanted to taunt him about his clothes, but he couldn't be bothered to exchanged biting replies. So he sat down in the offered seat pretended to be looking around the place, though he noticed that Malfoy was already drinking something.
Draco sipped his mead and looked around for Potter and spotted him making his way toward them.
Harry set the tray with two plates and two bottles of butterbeer down on the table, nodding in greeting at Malfoy. "Hey, were you hungry?" he asked, sitting down next to Ron.
Ron reached for one of the bottles of butterbeer, and nodded at Harry. "Cheers, mate."
"Yes, I ate earlier," Draco replied politely to Harry. He ran his finger tips up and down the cool glass.
"Cheers," Harry replied, picking up his own and pulling a plate close. "So, tomorrow we'll start looking for a flat?" he asked, looking around at the both of them.
Ron nodded, taking a drink and setting the bottle back down again. "Dunno what's going to be available around here, but I'm guessing there will be lots of property opening up now that the war's over."
"I already asked around. With the evacuation and workers, there isn't anything decent left in Hogsmeade. But there are mixed Muggle and wizarding communities not far from here that may have better choices."
"Think you two could handle living in a muggle community?" Harry teased, taking a sip of his own drink.
Ron gave a small chuckle and just left it at that.
Draco shrugged. He never thought he would agree to share accommodations with any Weasley, especially Ron. "Just don't invite them to live in the flat," he drawled.
Ron held his bottle in both hands and leaned forward. "How many rooms are we looking at here though? I mean, just the three?"
"Don't worry about that, Malfoy. And three rooms sounds good," Harry replied, nodding. He thought that he had more than enough money to pay for one. "Think that'll be fairly easy to find?"
Ron frowned, but remained quiet, starting to worry about how he would pay for his part of the rent, since he refused to accept Harry's money.
"I hope we can find one with more than one bath," Draco said. "We should start in the morning."
