Harry was slowly starting to go stark raving mad. He wasn't used to silence. Even at the Dursley's there had been some form of interaction....even if it contained physical or verbal abuse. At least there was another person around. He was starting to spend greater amounts of time at Work simply to avoid spending more time in the strangely quiet house. He swore some nights not even the animals made a noise. He hated it. Thankfully, the two weeks mark was coming up and he couldn't wait to not be the only living person in the house. There was still the dog and the owl, but neither one of them really made all that much noise or spoke, which left him quite on his own.

During this quietness, he'd come to the realization that Ron, Hermione, and himself had not been in the same room together in ages, which really needed to be fixed. The problem with that though, was they each had their own lives. Different careers, different schedules, different lives. Hell, they were all either married or in the process of getting married and Harry knew exactly how far ones mind could stray during times like that. Thankfully, there was one place he knew he could catch the both of them with a little work.

As noon approached, Harry started his search, first hunting down Ron. Being in the same department made it a lot easier to find him. Harry personally wished they worked on more cases together, but he was glad to at least be in the same vacinity most of the time. Finally spotting him on the busy floor, Harry headed in that direction. Afterward, the two of them could go and pry Hermione away from her work.

"Ron!"

While Harry was unaware that Ron had paid for both his and Harry's meal at the current moment, he'd be peeved later when that money showed back up. It wasn't that he didn't think Ron could buy both, it was simply the fact that he could buy his own food. It was only right. As it were, he was quite glad to see his own sandwich. He was bloody starving. Why? He had no idea. He just was.

Harry watched their short conversation. Yeah, something was definitely up, but if they didn't want to tell him that was their prerogative. He'd survive. "Yeah, I don't see a problem with that." he shrugged, catching Hermione's tone but not commenting. "As long as there's no Slytherin bashing. I personally don't want to end up hexed six ways to Sunday."

He might have to do a little bit of convincing on his part, but a small get together really couldn't hurt anyone...right?

"See, it's a date then. All significant others included," and Ron grinned again, "And of course, Harry, for the sake of your precious hide, I wouldn't dream of Slytherin-bashing. My mum would have my own hide, for being a bad host if I did that. Now, I guess I'll have to see if I can get Ana to make it as well."

As he said her name, his demeanor changed. He wasn't as jovial, and he looked more puzzled. He felt awkward about her, and wasn't sure how much he should say. Finally, he said, "I...I just don't know her that well."

He fell silent, and took another bite of his subject, his high at being next to his favorite girl fizzling away. He gave Hermione a half smile, and then looked over at Harry, not sure what to say next. He thought about the flat, and perked up slightly, "The patio upstairs is coming along. I still need to get Neville's advice. It would be great for you to see it."

He went back to eating, not sure what else to say.
