Who: Romilda and Michael
When: Backdated to Sunday
Where: Romilda's house
What: Comforting the girl
Rating: PG-13 for the flirting
Status: Closed / In Progress

Michael closed his leather bound journal a smile on his scruffy face. The poor girl seemed so upset and he would love to help her if he could. He hated to see people upset by things. He looked at the watch and saw that it was quite early. Poor girl must not have gotten much sleep in the past few days. Michael threw on a dark blue shirt and a pair of jeans not wanting to look too dressed up for what he was doing.

He looked around making sure he wasn't missing anything and when he was statisfied that everything was in order he apparated to outside her house. He almost just went right in but decided that would be rude. He waited for a few seconds and the knocked on the wood door. "It's Michael Corner." He said in his gruff voice.

no worries :D

Romilda smiled at the compliment. "Well it helps calm my nerves when I have something else to focus on." She moved to the couch and sat down. Now that she had someone else there, she let Mr. Twinkles down onto the floor. The little dog sniffed at Michael's shoes and then scampered off into the bedroom. "Thank you." She looked over at him, gesturing to a spot beside her. "At least you're in London. I know I can apparate, but it would nice to be able to just walk out your front door and be in the city."

"Your very much welcome." He sat down next to her. "Well your in luck I can give you lot's to focus on." He winked at her. He looked at the dog as it left thinking that he didn't much like it but biting his tongue for once. "He looked at her and shrugged again. "Ya I suppose so although to be honest I don't ever really use the front door at all. Plus when I get my match I don't think I will stay there the flat is small and I would rather raise a family in a house. One far from the big city. "and you?" He raised his eyebrows looking very interested.

She actually laughed at his wink. It was the first since she'd arrived at the ball the previous evening. Romilda turned more towards him on the couch and tucked her feet beneath her. She leaned her head on the back of the couch as she looked at him. "I've yet to be matched, not that I'm in any hurry for it. Quite a barbaric idea, being married off to a total stranger." She looked thoughtful a moment. "Still it might be comforting to have someone around if things like the other night start happening again." A tiny wrinkle formed between her brows as she frowned.

"Yes it is barbaric actually. Who are they to pick who we marry? People have been doing themselves for long enough don't you think." He looked at her felling a bit angry now. "I haven't been either. With any luck it will be with you." He smiled wanting to comfort her as much as he could. He shook his head slowly at her last comment. "Well it depends on the lad though doesn't it?" He said raising his eyebrows slightly. "If he is a nasty sort then it would be better to be alone wouldn't it." He said gravely. He meant well but sometimes he said the wrong thing.

Romilda smiled and raised her head from the couch. "Quite the flatterer. How do you know you'd be happy with me as a wife? I might be a horrible cook or throw you out of bed if you snore," she teased. She sighed and ran a hand through her hair. "Well, like I told that Palmer chap I met at the ball. I hope he's agreeable and handsome, beyond that I try not to hope." She leaned forwards a bit. "What about you, Michael. What do you hope for?"

Michael shook his head. "Nah I just call it like I see it. You look like you would be a good wife. If you were a bad cook I would cook or we would just order tons of take out and I don't snore." He smiled at her. He looked very thoughtful. "Well I guess that I want the same as you but pretty rather then handsome. I would also like someone who wants childern." He fiddled with a thread on his jeans and sighed not really wanting to think of matches. "I rather hope they forget me and I don't get matched. That would be the best for me."

Romilda wrinkled her nose at the idea of children. She didn't like them, nor did she plan on having any if she didn't have to. Part of it was that she didn't want to ruin her figure, though the rest was a deathly fear of childbearing after what happened to her mother. "I don't think we can avoid it for long, though I plan to take advantage of my freedom while I can," she now winked at him.

He smiled wickidly. "What do you mean by that?" He looked at her and thought he wouldn't be able to do this for too much longer most likely. He would probably get paired with someone soon and then he would be have to stop with the flirting. He figured he might as well make it last. "Freedom is speldid if you use it correctly don't you think?" He winked once again feeling daring.

Laughing, Romilda flashed him a mischeivous grin. "I quite agree." She closed the small space between them and kissed him lightly. Romilda ran her fingers through his hair and pulled back. "Tea?"

He looked taken aback when she kissed him. He was usually the one to make the move. But he quite liked her making it instead. "Tea is great thanks." He said gruffly. "But first allow me to return the favor." He moved close to her and kissed her back a goofy grin on his face.

Romilda was rather pleased with herself when she saw the look of surprise on his face. She considered herself quite adept at flirting and she could tell Michael was too. His reaction made her feel like perhaps she had the upper hand, even if it was only briefly. She smiled when he kissed her. He was certainly handsome and smelled good. He would provide a pleasant distraction. She nipped his bottom lip playfully before rising from the couch to set the kettle. "Any particular preferance? I have Earl Gray, Green tea with Jasmine and Cinnamon." She pulled two mugs down from the cabinet.
