Kris' Friday had been a rather relaxed one for once. After working double shifts he had had today off and had pretty much spent the whole day lazing around on the couch with a book. Now that things were all turning out for the better he could finally relax again. Sleep again, at least for now. He didn't get his hopes up that the insomnia wouldn't come back, because it always did. Since the age of 13 it had always come back in intervals and even if it was gone Kris didn't sleep more than five hours at once before he woke up again. But well, five hours were better than nothing.

Today he had actually spent a bit more thought on what to wear. This was Susan's first date after all and he wanted her to have a good time. In the end he decided for casual but not too casual. Black trousers, white shirt and black jacket. Grabbing his keys, wallet and cigarettes Kris for once left in time and decided to walk the short distance, so he could have a smoke.

Kris found himself smiling as he arrived at Susan's flat, knocking before he entered.

"Hello hello."

"I want you, too. It'll be fun to have someone hanging around here. It'll also be good to have someone to wake up next to." She said, as she walked over to the couch and grabbed her purse and walked back over to him. "My hair will be worse, believe me. I have to do a lot t this hair to get it to stay nice." She said, with a laugh. She wasn't like a lot of girls, who spent like hours and hours at a time trying to be pretty and keep there hair fixed up nice. She usually lets it hang around and be wavy.

"Where are we having dinner at?" She asked, as she linked arms with him and smiled.

"Nope, still firmly believing that my hair is going to be worse. Guess we'll have to decide who the actual winner is tomorrow morning," Kris chuckled, leading her from the flat. "You should also know that I don't function properly before I've had a coffee and a cigarette in the morning, so if you don't get any answers to your questions tomorrow morning, don't worry. All my fault, not yours."

"Uh do you like Italian? Because there is this really nice Italian restaurant just a few blocks from here. Their pasta is to die for, I swear."

"If I win, what do I get?" she asked, as she giggled and ran her fingers through her curls to fix them a little bit more and chewed on her bottom lip. "Well, if you're staying the night and in the morning, if you want to have a smoke..Use the balconey. I'm not trying to keep you from coming over, love. I just don't want my room smelling oddly like the Leaky Cauldron." She said, shaking her head at the thought.

"I love Italian food. My mum and dad used to spoil me with different foods. That's why I was so chubby during school." She joked around about herself, as she shut her door and pulled out her keys from her purse and locked it up.

"If you win I'm going to make you breakfast. That's the only meal I am actually able to prepare properly, so consider yourself honoured," Kris laughed, one hand in the pocket of his trousers.

"Yeah sure, no problem. I'd tell you that I'd try to stop smoking for your sake, but I fear that is so not going to work. My other fifty attempts to stop failed spectacularly, but I can definitely stick to the balcony," He agreed, waiting for her to lock up before taking her hand and leading her through the busy streets of London.

"You were chubby? I have a very very hard time believing that, sweets."

"Nice. It'll be nice to have someone making me breakfast." She said, taking his hand and smiling. "That's good. I think you'll be fine. I'm not complaining. It's your life. Do what you want with it.' She said, with a shrug and wrinkled her nose.

"I was chubby...My family would call my Chubby Susie or my grandpfather would call me his Chubby baby." She said, with a soft luagh. "It was embarrassing, but I got over it once I decided to lose some weight." She told him, with a sigh. She didn't mind being chubby back then, but she hatedt he names.

Kris smiled lightly. He knew that he'd probably never completely get over his nicotine and caffeine addiction, but he didn't want to bother others with it, so he'd definitely keep it to a minimum around Susan.

"Aw really? I bet you weren't really that chubby," He smiled, squeezing her hand. "But be glad, at least your family isn't on your back since the age of 10, trying to fatten you up. Not to mention that Seamus seems to be on the same mission now as well. They're all teaming up against me," He mock rolled his eyes before winking at her.

"You looked just fine to me, to be honest. I don't want a husband who is a too skinny or too fat and you seem just right for me." She said, stopping him for a moment and pessing her lips softly against his and smiled weakly. "So, what are your plans? I mean, you moving in with your soon-to-be loving wife or am I moving in with you?" She asked, as she started walking again.

"Oh thank Merlin, finally someone who won't try to feed me all the time!" Holding her hand just a little tighter he smiled against her lips. This evening seemed to be absolutely perfect so far.

"Actually I'd think it would be better if I moved in with you, if that's okay with you, I mean. My flat is really really small and I'm pretty sure it was never meant to be lived in by two people."

"But, I'll cook for you, I mean..I do make a great grilled cheese sandwich." She said, snorting, as she wrapped an arm around his waist.

"Well, then maybe tomorrow or whenever we feel like moving out of bed, especially if we're having drinks after dinner, we can start moving you in." She said, looking at him and kissing him on the cheek again and sighed. "I have to say that this whole ministry marriage thing isn't such a bad thing." She admitted, with a soft smile.

"Well yes, but you are not going to put double double double cheese in the sandwich because you want to fatten me up." Kris frowned lightly as he looked at her. "You won't do that, right?"

Smiling he opened the door of the restaurant for her.

"Actually I have something planned for tomorrow afternoon. Plus I think we should plan this wedding before we start moving because I don't know anything about planning a wedding and we don't have that much time left." He suggested.

"Ah, it might be bad for others but I am surely not going to complain about it anymore."

"I promise I won't. You can eat whenever you want and all that good stuff. Just be thankful my mum isn't alive..She'd force food down your throat." She said, with a weak laugh.

"Got a hot date with you-know-who tomorrow afternoon or something." She winked at him and giggled. "Yeah, we should start planning this whole wedding, but nothing too big, I mean, It would be craziness if it was a huge thing." She said, as she chewed on her bottom lip. "I'm not complaining either."

"I'd love to meet your mum and have her help." She said, smiling. She noticed that she hadn't been this happy in a long time, but it was now or never. "Are we going ring shopping or whatever?" She asked, with a laugh. She knew that some of her friends who had been paired up had already gone ring shopping and all that mess.

"How about we have the wedding....Where would be a good place for a wedding?" She asked, as she looked at him for a moment. She was drawing a blank.

"She'll be delighted to meet you," Kris smiled, thinking fondly about how his mum was going to fuss over all of this.

"Ring shopping? Oh yeah, we should definitely do that, right?." He hadn't even thought about that.

"A good place...hm," Kris frowned slightly as he thought about it. "No idea, really. I mean my parents have a cottage a bit outside of London, we could have it there in the garden."

"The ring doesn't have to be anything big. I just want to settle down and be happy with someone who is growing on me." She told him. It was all true, this guy was really growing on her and deep down she couldn't wait to get married.

"That would be beautiful. That sounds like a plan." She said, nodding and looking around, before looking back at him. "So, We'll have it at your parents cottage?" She asked, with a grin.
