WHO: Harry and Hermione
WHEN: Saturday Afternoon
WHERE: The Ministry and perhaps beyond
WHAT: Catching Up
RATING: E for Everyone
STATUS: Closed / In Progress

Despite their day of distraction, Harry and Daphne had made quite a lot of progress in straightening out the house once they actually put there minds to it. Most of the boxes had been emptied, sorted, and all the items put where they belonged. It was finally starting to resemble a house and not a storage unit. When he had left, Daphne had been just finished with her clothing...which there was a LOT of. Harry had a feeling, he'd be finding a new closet to use.

Needing a break, Harry had figured he would stop in to see Hermione. She had said she would be quite busy for the duration of the weekend, but he hoped to talk her into taking a break, at least for an hour or so to get some coffee. He was sure she probably needed it by now. She did tend to overwork herself sometimes and the last thing he wanted or the Ministry could handle was an overworked Hermione on an animal saving rampage. He could still remember her almost aggressive determination when it had come to SPEW. He didn't think he'd seen Winky cry so much since.

Reaching the correct floor, Harry wandered out of the lift and down the hall to where he knew he would find one of his best friends. "Why does it not surprise me that you're in here slaving away?" he asked with a smile, as he spotted who he had been looking for.

Harry took the seat when offered. After being on his feet for the majority of the day, he was more then glad to grab a chair. "Ahh, now you see, you also wrote that you would be needing a break." he grinned, as he pointed to himself. "I am your break."

She could argue all she wanted but somehow he was getting her out of this office and out into the fresh air. Just because you could charm air to circulate through the building did not meant that it was fresh air. He simply didn't know how much effort it would take to get her out. You could never guess with Hermione. If you thought you knew her well enough, she'd do something to throw you through a loop. "And said break would include leaving this stuffy old building and getting some ridiculously good coffee down in Soho."

"Oh yes, I did write that, didn't I?" she said quite sheepishly, having forgotten actually doing that after busying herself with her work the past few days. She glanced down at her work and bit into her lip. She really needed to continue working on it - she was getting so close, but it would be exceedingly rude to put Harry off when he was being nice and ensuring that she took a much needed break.

Nodding, she closed up the file she was using and put her quill back into the holder. "I suppose taking a break for an hour couldn't hurt too terribly much," she said, standing and stretching. She hadn't even realised how stiff she had grown in her chair. "What exactly is this place called?" she asked, getting her handbag and leaving her office, knowing that Harry would be right behind her.

He grinned brightly when she agreed. He didn't even have to bring out the bribes...not that they usually worked anyway, but he was still hoping one day they might come in handy. "It couldn't hurt at all. Besides, everyone in this department knows you're the brains in this operation. They wouldn't dare do anything without you."

Upon saying that, he hoped no one else from the department was within hearing distance. The last thing he wanted was to insult someone. With his luck they'd make some law where only trained Aurors could handle Blast-Ended Skrewts....and then Hagrid would go about raising and releasing them into society. It really wasn't that far out there if you thought about it....well, the Hagrid part at least.

"Maria ... something?" he offered, with a slightly sheepish smile. He'd never really looked at the full title. He'd just called it Maria's and remembered the location. "

Cheeks turning slightly red at the compliment, Hermione shrugged her shoulders. "That's not entirely true, but thank you anyway. We're all working on this piece of legislation together, but I volunteered to work over the weekend to finish it," she explained, though she knew just as well that she had spent more hours on it than the majority of them combined - save one or two other individuals.

Hermione wasn't entirely sure where he was referring to but nodded nonetheless. "You'll have to lead the way, then," she said, glancing back at him and slowing so that he could come up beside her. "Unless, of course, you intended on apparating."
