Who: Daphne Greengrass-Potter(?), Harry Potter, Asteria Greengrass & the Weasleys!
When: Mid day, Saturday
What: The wedding
Where: Greengrass Home
Rating: E for everyone?
Status: Open to Family and What not
"You may now kiss the bride," was finally said and the wedding was done and over with. There were claps from the small audience of people that were invited and Daphne smiled nervously, her cheeks bright red. Her nerves were gone, she had dealt with meeting the Weasley's before the wedding while she was walking around and they were arriving and Harry had already met her entire family. They did the typical 'groom can't see the bride on their wedding day' thing, spare the morning when Asteria woke them up to usher them off to Suffolk. That had been awkward, but not so bad. They had stayed up all night before discussing what their marriage would be like and other things, so naturally, they had gotten rather tired and fell asleep on her couch. No big deal, right?
Now that all the hardships had passed and they were married, Daphne was glad to say she had a husband and eventually a nice home, but for now, she was more interested in getting to the ball room and making her way straight toward the bar. Her father had warned her about it, but she didn't care. What she needed was a good drink and she had the funny suspicion that champagne wasn't going to suffice. All they had to do before they got there, however, was pose for pictures that her mother insisted on hiring a professional to take. In the gardens was an extraordinarily good place for the wedding and the weather was almost perfect to be outside. Once the pictures were done, Daphne smiled at Harry and moved away from his side to speak to her mother for a moment before it was time to migrate into the reception hall.
"You look beautiful," Daphne's teary eyed mother said as she placed her hands on Daphnes face gently. Apparently it didn't matter how much her mother hated this idea, but she was proud of the fact that Daphne was now married and out in the real world with a title. "Thanks, mum," Daphne replied, rolling her eyes slightly before she gave her mother a hug. "Don't get all sentimental on me. Remember, you didn't want this to happen at all." "I know, but I can't help it. My baby just got married." Daphne laughed out loud at that response and looked at her mother. "I'll always be a Greengrass, don't worry about this marriage. It was bound to happen anyway, remember Zacharias?" Daphne's mother scoffed and nodded before joining her husband just up ahead. Daphne shook her head and walked back over to Harry, linking her arm within his and kissing his cheek. Yeah, she was comfortable enough doing that, they were married after all, it was bound to happen.
Her parents fell behind them and they lead the small mob of blonds and redheads into the house where they were greeted by a small orchestra and ushered up to a table at the head of the ball room to be seated for the first part of the reception.
"Wasn't so bad, right?" She questioned Harry, holding her dress up while she made her way to her seat. She felt as if she were on a throne and no matter how much she didn't want this wedding to happen, this was a good feeling. Like her and Harry were king and queen and their court was out in front of them. She was sure Asteria would feel just the same way. It certainly wasn't a bad feeling. Soon there would be more festivities and the bar would be open to everyone. "Maybe even perfect," she whispered, though more to herself than to Harry. Honestly, her wedding ended up being as close to a fairytale as money could buy and she appreciated that, even if it was small, it still looked amazing.
