Sam nodded along as she spoke. He never thought when he'd got married that it would sound like such a business deal. The waitress brought their drinks and Rose's sandwich.
He sipped his tea and sat in his thoughts for a moment. Gabriel gurgled and squirmed a bit so Sam moved him to lay in the crook of his arm, the little boy's face now in plain view.
Sam looked back up at Rose. "I'm not sure about the laws. They're so vague. Although, since they are forcing us to marry I expect it's not just a paper thing. So, likely, we'll have to live together."
