Being different is what makes you fit in around here. Tell me about you.

Yeah, I wouldn't even know where to start. Uh, Well, I'm from California, originally, but the town that I lived in kinda got sucked into a sinkhole. So, after that, I've been pretty much traveling a little, but I've been living in England for the most part with family. Then I got brought here. Kinda weird considering that my friends went missing and I get here and there they are.

California? My um- I have a brother from Santa Monica, but I don't believe it's ended up in a sinkhole. That said, I'm glad your friends were here when you got here. That had to have made things easier. I didn't know anyone, but my uncle Ares and aunt Eris have shown up recently.

My boyfriend, Sam? NOT as happy about it. Apparently, the torture and bloodlust that my uncle engages in is kind of a bad thing.

No, it was just a small town called Sunnydale. Yeah, my friends being here did make it easier, but a little harder knowing that this is it apparently and there's no way out. I couldn't imagine showing up here and not knowing anyone.

Torture ... and bloodlust? Doesn't sound like a good combination.

I bet it was beautiful there. When I picture California now, I imagine swimming pools and things. The palace at Troy had an amazing beach and a gorgeous pool. I miss it. Being here is... different.

Oh, well. You know, all Gods have to have a purpose. Ares just happens to be bloodlust and war. Occasionally torture. Eris, she's discord. Of course THEY would be the ones to show up.

Eh, Sunnydale was just an average small town. Pretty much walking from end to end took like an hour if that. Not much to see there, but surprisingly there was like a port, a train station, an airport and I'm sure more places that I'm forgetting to mention. Fun facts.

Yeah, I don't really see that as being a good thing.

I'm sorry it ended up in the ground. Mine is just... gone. After several thousand years, the city just disappeared. My mother died, finally, and with the Queen gone, Troy didn't need to exist. I moved to London and then ended up here.

They can be very friendly, really.

I'm sorry yours is gone. In a way, Sunnydale going down into a big whole was almost a relief. It's a crazy thing to say considering what was lost there, but I wasn't stuck anymore. I felt trapped. Yeah, and I don't know why I'm telling you this, I'm not usually well, the 'let me tell you everything I possibly can' kinda gal. You're just very easy to talk to.

It's funny how things can be both a relief and... not, all at the same time.

Oh, I'm sorry. I don't mean to pry. I just- Where Ares does war and Eris does discord, I do feelings. Goddess of shared emotion, really. I like to talk, to listen. Meet new people.

No, no, it's fine, don't worry about it. It's a good thing. I have a problem with not saying you know, anything sometimes, so it's a good thing that I'm actually talking. Even if it is to a total stranger. Even though you're not really a stranger anymore. Sometimes it's easier that way anyway.

So ... a Goddess? That's ... different. I mean, obviously not for you, but yeah. I've never met one of you before. Now, I have met a Hell God before and let's just say, we kinda didn't get along too well. I'm sure the 'Hell' part is a pretty good tip off of why that relationship didn't work out so well.

I try not to stay a stranger for long. But you're right. It's easier to tell complete strangers everything.

Hell Gods are singularly unpleasant. I can imagine there are several reasons you didn't get along. Nevertheless, I aim to please and not anger. Most of the time. I don't do 'angry' well.

Well everyone gets angry sometimes, so I'm sure that's okay. I try to stay somewhat optimistic considering the drawbacks that come with what is my life.
