I got thrown in jail for kissing a lawyer. I know it's an unpopular profession, but I didn't know it was illegal to kiss them.

Alan proposed.

Some people think it's a crime to help perpetuate the species. But I think they are cute!

I'm sure he could set you up with one of his partners or something, if you wanted.

It's only a crime if they're 'your' lawyer.

Apparently judges don't really like it when you run into their courtrooms and kiss their lawyers in the middle of their closing speechy things.

..I don't think that's a crime so much as bad timing and bad manners.

you must've just caught the judge at a really bad time-or he just has a temper worse than a certain husband of mine.

'Contempt of court' blah blah blah. If she'd understood the circumstances..

Be glad you just got jail time, I had to spend a few months where behavior of that sort would get you killed (then again this was also where public executions where a general past time).

Could you've at least waited till court was called to recess or something?

I'm pretty sure the judge wouldn't have gotten away with that.

Not really. Extenuating circumstances. Had to correct misunderstandings. Court's supposed to be all about bringing out the facts and the truth, right?

Not on Earth at any rate.

..it really depends on whose wallet is bigger, then again I'm somewhat of a cynic.

Hooray for Earth!

Yeah, I suppose. But theoretically. You'd think the judge would've been happy for us. I'm sure the case was pretty boring, anyway.

As fucked up as it is, you're right that it does have some good points.

maybe she's just having a bad love life and got jealous-though that's not very professional for her at any rate.

I guess it's probably my fault for being unprofessional first.

I'm rather impressed though, seeing as most courts hold guards at the door while in session.

Maybe just a touch of it, every now and then? I'd probably go crazy if Alan was a complete romantic all of the time.. But that just makes the occasional little romantic touches more special and insane.

I suppose so, but...not in the traditional sense. Mostly since I'm not one for romantics either.

One thing he did that felt special was converting a room in the mansion to use for combat training and sparring. Much better than flowers and chocolate in my opinion.

Thanks, sweetie. We haven't set a date yet. It was a pretty big surprise. I didn't believe him at first. I thought he was under a spell or something. Still a little bit in shock, I think.
