Anyone who might have seen or heard a minor Earthquake in lower New York, please disregard that. Only one building was damaged. Despite what some scientists think, interns and delicate equipment do not mix.


Though I am most dedicated to the pursuit of scientific endeavor, I feel that, considering all that has happened, I need a vacation. Would you care to take a weekend and just... spend time together in a rendezvous?

Yes, purely cosmetic damage attained in rescuing the intern and his mentor after the slight explosion. And good.

I merely wish a small hiatus of normality to bask in the delight of your most excellent company.

Oh, a few tens of thousands of dollars worth of equipment, but nothing that time, grants, and hard work cannot replace. Mostly damaged were dignity and the structural integrity of the building. All shall be well.

I will, and thank you.

I am working on DNA analysis techniques, and was in another building when the explosion occurred. The lab where it happened was working on a focussed LASE microviewer, which was designed to try to peer into the layers of molecules and atomic structures of things around us.

An intern got too clumsy and eager and a button or three got pushed out of order. Boom.
