It's still hard to get used to thinking that this is a completely different world... that no one from my old world is here... I didn't know that many people.. The two people I'd been with for the last fifty years were already dead when I left...

It's a relief, in some ways.. If Andrew were here, I don't think I could even leave the apartment. I suppose he could show up here at any time... But I can't think like that, I can't. Kind of a shame, though. I was sort of looking forward to being a widow.

Only four more days.. God, this is terrifying.
