Mia tells me that you're training her for the Order. I'm a padawan right now, but I'm looking to get the full shiny Jedi lightsaber.

She also tells me the Order changed a lot from my time. I'm part of the - what do you guys call it? The Old Republic?

I'm trying to get full Jedihood. Jediship. Jediness. Whatever.

I love you.

... what do people do for fun in this time, anyway? I mean, I've got some basic ideas, but maybe there's some time-specific fun I'm missing out on.

I love you, too. And if the Jedi don't want it, then, well, I don't want them.

I think it's Jedihood, but don't quote me. Jedi status?

It was one of the reasons why I put it off until now, but my friend Mia told me she is in the Order now, and she's got a boyfriend. Figured I'd try to learn the secret handshake.

I like Jediness.

Some people go out drinking and go to clubs. Movies, dinner. Not that thrilling, really, and it's just like home. My type of fun back home involved high speeds and piloting, but without speeders, I have to settle with cars.

Are you looking for something to do?

I should get a car. Those things look interesting.

Always always.

You should. It was an adjustment for me being stuck on the ground, but it's the closest thing unless you get a piloting license for the pitiful aircraft here.

When I'm restless I go mountain climbing or rapelling. Or spar with someone. Maybe go to a shooting range. Sometimes I go up in a tiny two-seater plane (with the aforementioned piloting license, it's so stupid). Or my spaceship.

Do you want to do something tonight?

I should get one, I think. Dunno, I've always been a pilot or a soldier. But I'd rather not enlist - I've seen enough war for a few lifetimes.

That'd be nice, Mia - it'll give Katya some time to do things with her friends, too.

Enlist in what? You don't have to enlist in anything. It just proves that you can fly the stuff they call aircraft here. Not everyone here knows how to operate flying vehicles, if you can believe it.

Is there anything you want to do you haven't done on Earth yet?

Oh, I was just saying that the two things I'm used to are being a soldier and flying. And the soldier thing is right out, and I actually miss flying. So yeah, I'd appreciate your help with that.

Not that I can think of, actually. Maybe you can think of something I should do but don't know I should do yet?

Sure. We can look into different aircraft and you can see what you want to fly. I don't know about your time, but from mine, some of the stuff here is like relics.

Have you used the portkeys much yet?

I haven't really much looked at them, I admit. Been sorta busy.

Once or twice, yeah.

We could go portkey hopping and I could show you the best cities I've found. And we could talk about what air vehicles are here.

It is Qui-Gon Jinn. But you were quite close. Yes, I am training Mia. Remarkable young woman, very talented. She's very headstrong and tends to want to push against the rules, rather a lot like I do on occasion. She may have told you I'm not the most conventional Jedi.

Are you wishing to train with us? How is your meditation? What has been your regimen as of late?

Mia's a good girl, yeah.

I've stepped it up a little since I've arrived, actually. I was wondering if dying brought me closer to the Force. It didn't seem to, but now that the woman who was training me has come back, I'm focusing more.

She is, yes.

Your Master is here? What need have you of me then?

In our time, she was exiled from the Order. She wouldn't ever be able to fully train me.

I honestly don't know how it works here. There is no Jedi Council. But I am more than willing to have you train with us if that is what you wish.

We typically meditate early every morning, and work in training and workouts around Mia's work schedule. Are your hours flexible?

I don't know how it works here either, I guess that was my question. If there's nobody around to give me the fancy lightsaber, then I dunno.

I can take a long lunch - I own an antique store, or open up a little bit later. I don't know where I am on the Padawan Scale, so yeah.

Mia has been training with me for quite awhile and when I felt she was ready, I asked the other Jedi here if they were amenable to her becoming my Padawan. She meditated for awhile on her crystal and then constructed her lightsaber herself.

I have my lightsaber. Think I might be the only double-blader here, actually.

Dunno. Guess without the Order, it's between us and the Force, huh?

The only other double blader I knew was Darth Maul. Are you Sith, Atton Rand?

I won't lie to you - I was at the Academy on Korriban for a while. I've done things that I regret. But I'm training to be a Jedi now. I know what I did, and I died to atone in some small way. Even if I have to spend this life doing it, I will.
