DEs have an aiming handicap and are pretty heavy, besides.

I won't argue that they're fucking amazing firearms and are WONDERFUL birthday gifts, but if you REALLY want a good pistol, go for one of these...

Darling, I'm Lara Croft. I don't have aiming issues. I shoot, things die and/or break.

And while the .45 is undoubtedly a lovely gun, I much prefer my .50 calibers.
