[Ron] Ron, I need to talk to you. Now. Am I really that incredibly mentally stupid?

I don't have anyone else to talk to. I think Ginny vanished awhile ago, and so did Hermione. I've been looking for them for a long time. And I wanted to ask if you'd seen them but I didn't want the answer to be no. I think my daughter's gone too. I can't talk to the older Sirius or Remus either.

Mentally stupid? Come on, mate. Really now. I don't even think that's the right phrase. But no, you're not mental and you're not stupid. You can be bloody stubborn and difficult sometimes, but you're not stupid, Harry. What's got your knickers in a twist?

They're gone, Harry. It's just Rosie and Jamie left. And I haven't talked to either of them for some time now.

Both mental and stupid seem appropriate right now. I didn't want to admit it.

Did you know that... my parents and... all of them?

I tried looking, Ron. I didn't want to admit they're gone. I didn't want to admit a lot of things.

I don't want to be here anymore. I want to go back home.

No, you're not. Shut it.

Yeah, I knew. Didn't know as to how much you knew, and I sure wasn't going to bloody tell you that your mum and da were shagging other people.

Don't say that, mate. Don't leave me alone here with nobody but a grown daughter I barely know, and your ex-girlfriend. D'you know Cho was asking me the other day what had happened to you?

I guess it's better they told me. I sort of chose not to see some of it. I didn't want to. Who in the bloody world wants to ever know their parents are shagging half of their best friends?

Is there something that causes people to want to lie to me, Ron? All my life, people have hid things from me and lied to me. They could've been honest. I feel blind and completely stupid now. Everyone here must know they were all together except for me. I don't even want to talk to the older Remus or Sirius. Did they know about this too?

Cho was asking? For Merlin's sake. I almost forgot she was here. I've been so focused on Ginny and Hermione being missing.

I didn't lie exactly...I just didn't tell you what I suspected. I mean honestly, did you want me to be the one to tell you about all of that mess? I don't think I'd have gotten my point across as well as they probably did. I'd have bollocksed it all up. And I honestly don't know if they knew or not. I don't really talk to Professor Lupin or Sirius.

She's my age, and she told me she's a bit nervous around you, since you're so young and all. But she was wondering how you were.

I'm not accusing you of lying, Ron. Technically... they didn't either, but I thought my dad was open with me about everything. It feels like he lied. It wasn't your place to tell me, it was his. And my mum's. Why didn't they tell me instead of pretending it wasn't going on?

I always thought they were together, you know? Just them. None of the memories I saw of Snape's or anyone else's made it seem like this was going on. And... I suppose I've always had them up on a pedestal, and even though I kept finding out things that seemed to take my dad down a notch, I idolized them, Ron. I still never imagined they were all... I don't want to think about it anymore. I don't even want to think about if Malfoy knows.

I should talk to her. I'll send her a message later.

I dunno, mate. Maybe because they didn't know how?

It's hard seeing your parents as something other than how you imagined them. But it will get better I promise.

She'd enjoy it, probably. Cho's a bit different than she was at school. Less crying and whinging and more spitfire and attitude. Leads me to think she's had a different life than us, Harry.

Are you busy? Can we do something soon?

Yeah, I'll say something to her soon. Thanks, mate. What do you mean, a different life?

Never too busy for you, Harry. Whatcha have in mind?

Just like, that she's not from our timeline, you know? In her history, we lost. Voldemort ruled the ministry of magic, and if you didn't toe the line, you were put in Azkaban. She was meant for the Auror program before Voldemort won, and afterwards she became a spy for the Order in the Death Eaters. They took her because she was Ravenclaw and a Pureblood and she'd vowed allegiance to the Dark Lord. She got caught by one of the Lestranges, Rodolphus I think she said. He tortured her with Cruciatus.

She lived in a dark time, mate. I can tell she seemed pretty glad to be here and not there.

Anything. Maybe play some Quidditch, maybe Apparate or portkey to some places we've never been.

Blimey. She's from one of those alternate realities?
