How long is it acceptable to keep Christmas decorations up?

Traditionally the 6th, because of Epiphany.

... I have no idea why I even know that.

Congratulations. You know more about Christianity than an angel.

That's what I get for not paying attention in angel school, I guess.

I'm just going to blame Nik and his encyclopediac knowledge of boring historical stuff that he always tried to foist off on me.

You've been kind of lovely, you know. Thank you for making sure I had a good Christmas. ♥

You're welcome.

I'm not going domesticated, am I?

We could test it out by going for a chase?

After Epiphany (January 6th) is traditional in the Julian Calendar. But Christmas doesn't even come until January 7th in the Gregorian calendar.

Personally, I figure once the pig's blood on the tree dries up and flakes off, it's time to burn it.

Last year I waited until my boyfriend threatened to stop making me coffee if I didn't turn off the Christmas carols.

I'd say that's a nearly perfect measure of time to take the decorations down.

On the other hand, the staff know I'm quite unpleasant when I have too much blood in my caffeine system, so I may have to find something more personal.

That whole blood thing sounds pretty personal!

The pig's blood? Oh no! That's just an old family tradition. My Uncle Nathan came up with it the year that Uncle Toki insisted on having a Dethmas tree.

I thought that's how everyone decorated their trees until I went to boarding school.

We have some great metal and crystal skulls and demon parts on our tree. And dragons of course. What do you have on yours?

Angels and stars, that kind of thing. Some snowflakes, too, and this little dude.

Bubbly! A traditional tree can be very beautiful.

Oh! He's adorable! Did you make him?
