Depends on the doghouse. When my most recent foster-dad was angry with me, I'd clean something while he was out at work. No one wants to come home from a twelve hour day to a mess, even if they made it themselves. (And he did. Decent guy but a total slob.)

The family before that, I'd just wait them out. They'd get over it eventually.

Wow. I don't know that you do climb out of that doghouse. Do you know how long I spent proving myself? He benched me twice - the second time, he stalked me home and showed up in my room to warn me that he knew enough to take me out of the business if I wouldn't retire, so to speak.

That was when I was a kid who did parkour in a ski mask. He hadn't even given me a suit yet.

Best advice I have? Prove yourself capable. It has to be on his time - you just do the job and wait for him to come back around to the idea that you can handle it and that he can trust you.

	Pretty sure he already knows I'm capable. At least, with a bow and arrow. Proving I'm reliable, though... Not sure I'll be able to get that back. I don't know. Maybe it's time I go out on my own. Been doing the side-kicking thing for a while. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

I started working with him because I had no resources, no training, and no way to help Gotham all by myself. The trade in that situation is that he calls the shots. I have nothing but respect for him, but it's nice to be able to set your own priorities.

I don't know. Maybe I'm not the one to talk to about this - by the end, R and I were working together more than he and I.
