I feel like it's very important to make sure that Valentine's Day is celebrated the same way in this world as it is in mind.

The Goblins are running a popularity contest amongst the major heads of state, and we present gifts to them to tally it. Is that correct? And please, someone tell me that the Royal Apothecary Society doesn't exist here and that no Forsaken is putting out tainted love potions? That whole mess was nothing but paperwork.

Wow, and they thought that handing out slabs of meat was weird when I told them about our customs back home for Valentine's day.

Yeah, not so much with the goblins and tainted love potions. Actually, I'm pretty sure all Valentine's day is, here, is a time where people gorge themselves and their loved ones on chocolates, give each other flowers, and tell them that they love them and all that other romantic crap.

It's actually pretty nice, compared to meat slabs and schmaltzy poems.

Oh. Oh, that's much better.

I always got left out, no one ever bothered visiting Theramore, and while I'd like to pretend I'm above such things I really am not. Tyrande would beat me out every year.

I've never been one of the popular people, either, so I can relate. Sorta.

That's a pretty weird custom, though. What's the point of figuring out which head of state is most popular? Shouldn't they all be equal?

Oh, it was a quick way to make Gold. They were Goblins, after all.

Ah, that explains things.

I'm Dib, by the way. Good to know that I'm not the only one who comes from a reality which has different holiday customs, but the same holidays.

I'm Jaina. It's a pleasure to meet you.

Oh, trust me. Winter's Veil Christmas was quite the learning experience.

Likewise.

Oh, yeah, Christmas was a huge culture shock for me when I first came here. It was close enough to be eerie, but the Santa mythos was totally different, and I never even knew there was a religious context until I came here. It's pretty cool, but on the same token, it made me realize how batshit my world is. Was. Whatever.

It is strange. Although this world is strange as well. Perhaps there's no such thing as a normal world.

If there is such a thing, it'd bore me to death, I think.

As would we all, most likely.
