Apology accepted. Truly, it was all I needed to hear. You will do things that hurt me in life, and I you, but the important thing is to accept responsibility.

I also apologise for my own defensiveness ... but I have always cared for you, even if not in the way you would have wanted. I have never, ever intended to cause you pain. I can see, upon reflection, where that might not be obvious to others.
