I cannot pretend that this news doesn't frighten me, lady. To have your goodness in the voluntary company of evil itself is something perplexing and worrisome for me, especially now that I stand essentially in Raziel's place. I have sight I formerly lacked.

But you are an adult, in control of yourself, and while I should love to haul you away and lock you up, I can do no such thing. I can only concern myself with your safety from a distance and hope my concern remains unwarranted.

I know what he is. I know that me trying to light his darkness likely won't work, that he probably won't change.

But I know that I love it when he smiles and the moments of absolute sweetness he can possess. I'm also aware that this might not end well for me but there's no guarantees with any relationship. I could pick the most sweet human man in the world, and things might end sourly with him as well.

I don't ask that you love him as I do; that's too much for anyone, to care about someone simply because I do. I just ask that you not speak too ill of him in my presence. I love you as a friend, Ariel, and I'm so glad to be home.

	Respectfully, bright lady, the sweetest mortal man in the world would be less likely to murder you in a fit of pique. I will not shy away from what he is, nor will I censor facts should they be warranted within conversation.
