Alim Surana should probably learn to shut up ([info]elvenwarden) wrote in [info]undertherainbow,

If I've offended in you in some way, I apologise. I just assumed that after what Zevran told me, you'd moved on from what we had.

I can return the ring you gave me, should you like. It's the only reason I knew you were here.

I almost wish the Circle had taught us how to deal with women properly. They were too busy trying to keep us from becoming Abominations or apostates that it slipped their mind, I suppose.

Busy killing things. Go away.

I can tell. It's here if you want it to stop giving you away.

I don't care what you know. You are nothing.

Perhaps I am. You seem to be decimating the demons of the world well enough without the help of any Grey Wardens.

Try not to hurt yourself too badly. I still care about you, even if it might not seem that way.

Are you sure you're not just saying that because I let you play with my ears?

Not just the ears! There are other parts I enjoyed playing with, as well!

I'm glad you enjoyed yourself. It's rare for an elf like me to be liked like that.

How to 'deal with women properly'? Oh yeah, that's real charming.

Tip #1: People usually don't like to know when you're trying to manipulate them. Just sayin'.

You're new, though, right? And grew up in some weird Circle cult thing?

I might've phrased that the wrong way, my apologies. I meant more along the lines of 'how to not completely offend them within five minutes'... then again, they might've taught it, I wasn't the most attentive student.

I grew up in the Circle of Magi in Thedas. Not a cult, but a collection of mages... the intent was to better control us. Didn't always work, especially when blood magic became involved.

Controlling people, blood magic... Sounds like a cult to me. Anyway! Not important.

Yeah, I get what you're saying. Also getting that you're really bad at it. I'd offer to help, but from the looks of your last post you don't seem to be hurting for a social life.

If it's a cult, it's a Templar one. Apostates like Anders and Morrigan have far more freedom than anyone in the Circle.

Only when it comes to dryads who really like elves and former travelling companions. Again, I blame the Circle. We weren't allowed to socialise with the outside world.

Yeah, I don't know what any of that means.

Anyway, if you think you can keep it in your pants, you can come to movie night on Friday. Really low key, just a bunch of people in a living room watching bad made-for-TV horror movies. There will be pizza.

Templars are idiots in shiny armour who don't like magic. Apostates are people who don't get caught by them. That's about as simple as it gets.

I'm perfectly capable of doing that. We didn't have anything close to movies in Thedas, but that just means I may be slightly confused by them.

Most people don't really care about magic, here. Some of them don't believe it's real, and it's best not to explode their tiny brains, but most people here on the boards don't really care.

Okay, well don't worry, nothing's going to leave the screen and try to crush you. It's all pretend.

If they are Templars, can you tell them not to try and make me Tranquil? I like being connected to the Fade too much to lose it.

I'm not sure precisely what that means, but it sounds dreadful. Don't worry. The worst they've done to wizards is imprison and kill them. And I don't think they've done that since they've been here. The prince even seems to be coming around.

I think I rather like the term Apostate. I may start using that.

Being made Tranquil is worse than death. You're cut off from the Fade, from your magic and from all emotions... but it's a relief to know it likely won't happen here.

More people should use the term. It sounds so much better than plain old 'witch' or 'mage'.

That could not happen here. Though I shudder to think what could have happened to Camelot if Uther had had the ability to do such things.

I am Nimue.

Well met, Alim.

Should you need anything, let me know. It's difficult to adjust, sometimes, to not being afraid. It isn't always enough just to be told that the danger is gone.

Something Morrigan gave me is... troubling me. It lets me 'sense' her, and I haven't felt her be this angry for the longest time.

I suppose it's likely down to how I reacted on arriving. Either that, or Morrigan now reacts to Wardens with rage.

She was upset that Flemeth had arrived, and I went to comfort her. We ended up being intimate, and she was upset about it because her gentleman friend left her for a time.

She genuinely cares for him, and I think that alone upsets her.

I remember how she reacted when the issue of love came up, or even caring for people. Maybe that's one of those things about her that hasn't changed.

I'm fond of the elemental magics myself, but... there are more satisfying branches of magic to be found.

Although, few things beat the feeling that comes with completely immolating something that irritates you.

Well, my mom's the one who taught me, and in her world, there's mostly just healing and elemental. I can poison people too, and summon meteors!
