It's come to my attention that I failed to properly introduce myself when I arrived. Rather a breach of courtesy, that, so I've decided to remedy my lapse.

My name is Catherine Chabatier. French by birth, English by nationality, so either language will do. I'm the Chief Executive Officer of Janus Corp, based in London, which is primarily a communications company. I do a bit of business on the side, however, so if anyone has contacts in that line I'd be glad to work something out. Smuggling, gambling, the like. I do not, however, touch anything that involves human trafficking of any kind; I find it morally abhorrent.

It's been brought to my attention that there are some of the proverbial movers and shakers here. Let me state unequivocally that I have no interest in effecting a hostile takeover of any kind. All I want is what I had in my previous ... home, and it seems that I already control that. If something is not spoken for, that's one thing, but I am not out to make enemies.

That said. I've heard rumors of some sort of organization, some form of government? With respect to my own kind, I consider myself subject to no one. Higher creatures may have some sway, but - to paraphrase - all vampires are created equal. I see no reason to upset that dictum.

I hope to begin to make the acquaintances of several of you in the near future.
