Emma: I was kinda wondering what you'd think of me maybe teaching a class at Taunton, if that was okay with you and Professor Dumbledor and all. I mean, I'd really like to teach, and I've been student teaching at the college.

Hey, we have all kinds of magic and technology and all that sort of awesomeness. Anyone thing we could somehow make a computer that won't get fried by either magnetics or from my powers of phasing through things? I know it's a little crazy, but anyone think that's a possibility?

That's true. It would really suck if some super evil was using it to take over the world.

I'm more trying to help Lorna. She's been accidentally frying a bunch of computers. And I've fried more than one of my own computers on accident.

In her case, why not just make a case for the computer that resists magnetization, so that the stuff inside doesn't get fried? Most metals demagnetize with a strong impact, so you could make something like a small hammer that strikes the case at steady intervals. Keep it in a vacuum so the noise isn't an issue. I don't know how strong her powers are, but it should resist low-level magnetic issues.

For you... have you considered just walking around your computer?

That's an awesome idea. Do you think you could help me set something like that up? Probably should try a small model to make sure her powers aren't too strong for the idea.

I lost control of my powers a while back. I didn't know I was going to phase out while typing on my computer. :p

"My name is Kitty Pryde and I fry electronics for fun and profit." Go on. The first step is admitting you have a problem.

It was actually very traumatizing. I couldn't phase back in at will and I just phased out without any warning. It sucked.
